Month 4, Day 20 

Two months have passed, bringing along more customers, as well as their last fellow intern.

Amber Hayden was her name, and quite frankly, he's ever met anyone who was so outrageously upbeat and cheerful that she's singlehandedly brought in more customers than the past few months he's been in Million Petals. He checked the demographic and did the math- he's pretty sure that she's brought in over more than 75 percent of customers than the past three months combined. It was unbelievable- and he's had enough of that to last him the end of his lifetime.

That wasn't the only reason that recent times have been hectic either- sometime in the past month Amber Hayden developed a crush on him. Don't get him wrong- he's had his own fair share of admirers and crushes and... despicably short relationships, but this was quite unlike anything he's ever had before. And to make it all the more worse- Rose Lebeau from down the street has also developed a crush on him. It all just snowballed into this messy rivalry between Amber and Rose for Cobalt's affections.

Cobalt is pretty sure that this rivalry of theirs has only lasted for a week, but it was already driving them all insane.

Or maybe it as just him- Miss Eden found this very amusing, and installed cameras inside the shop for this very reason. It was...unfathomable how the Manager could even manage to find it in herself to treat this dragged-out rivalry like a sitcom. Nobody spoke against it though. He figured that it brought them all some weird form of entertainment. Cider thought it was hilarious as well, but he kept hiding behind Cobalt every time they get into a cat fight.

"They're like beasts- but worse..." The taller man managed to croak out from behind him during a particularly heated fight.

Scarlet just found the catfights disturbing, but he's heard her laugh once or twice when they take the verbally abusive route instead. Viridian just outright laughs whenever they fight, but they're the ones who volunteered to calm both of them down after the fight stops.

He'd find this surprising if not for the fact that they somehow found a way to befriend both of them. They couldn't have found a worse time or a worse combination of friends, but he thought that it was pretty impressive in itself.
