It seemed like we were frozen in time together. I wasn’t keeping track and I didn’t want to. The inhaling and exhaling of the large beast left my soul content. The moons light was long gone. Fireflies were everywhere surrounding us, light from the stars was all I had to see.

My hand was gliding up and down along his backside and moving back to his crown. His fur was so soft and warm, looking down my tiny hand looked almost invisible just by how long his fur was. I didn't know where I was, but I was glad to be lost here. Even if Blake did just leave me, I wouldn’t ask right now to be anywhere else in the world then where I was sitting.

My back and bottom began to hurt from how long I have been sitting here. I gently shifted and I heard the large beast whimper slightly. I peeked down to see his eyes were closed and he to was at peace. I kept stroking and rubbing along his massive head. I was studying the beast that layed upon me. He was such a beautiful creature.

My hand landed onto his paw, it was massive in size compared to mine. When my hand traveled to his shoulder you could feel a slight indent within his shoulder blade. A mark of something, like an old brand. You could feel his strong muscles every time he twitched or moved. This beast was definitely not something to toy or threaten.

I heard a snap that came from within the woods, my body jolted in reaction. When I jumped in my seat, the wolf rose his head up in alert and also jumped up. His large ears were pointed up and back, his elongated very sharp teeth started to show through his snarl. My body was shacking with how deep and low of a growl that rumbled from his chest. I sat up on my knees and the wolf stood with his back to me and was trying to hear and see which way the snap came from. Just by his powerful dominance and stance you knew that this beast was either in charge or his own leader.

“shh its okay” I whispered to the wolf.

Shit what am I even doing? I scolded myself. I'm talking to a wild animal. Not just any animal, I'm sitting here talking to a freaking wolf. A very large and intimidating wolf.

“Who's out there?!” I try to sound strong. But nothing. Maybe it was just another woodland creature. Or what if it's another wolf?! I was beginning to get nervous. I would leave but Blake lead me out here and I have no idea where I am.

"Ugh Blake why did you just leave me?!"

I cursed to the sky. I looked back to the wolf and he was looking at me with a tilted head, he was only standing a mere inch away from me. He was sitting down in front of me, as I was still hunched on my knees. He bowed his head down to me and I reached my shaky hand to rub his head to the back of his right ear. Another soft whimper left the beast and he stood back up. He took one last step to me, and he pressed his wet nose to mine and licked my cheek. Before I could do anything in reaction, he backed up toward the trees slowly and he was gone.

I was now completely and utterly alone. The fireflies were still twinkling around me I tried to catch one in mid air but I stumbled and my body landed on the ground. My white dress I know was completely dirty. Two feet appeared in front of me while my face was in the grass my eyes were looking up, as the feet became knees then to a naked torso. Blake was in front of me with an open hand reaching down. I shoved his hand away from my face, I stood up on my feet and began to brush the dirt and grass of my dress.
