"ANNNND GOOD MORNING DALLAS ITS BOBBY B HERE GIVING YOU YOUR SUNDAY MORNING WEATHER UPDATE A HIGH OF 73/ low of 52 POSSIBILITY OF SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE LATE AFTERNOON TRAFFIC THIS AM IS-"

I slamed down on my alarm and rolled on my back staring out mywindow to the grayish cloudy sky. I feel like I slept a lot shorter then what I wanted. I know today is going to be a shitty one I grunted to myself, but I knew I needed to get a lot of things done today that I seemed to have slacked off with yesterday. I had a school assignment that I absolutely needed to finish, as much as I disposed high school, I still did my work and passed just to avoid not being able to graduate. I may not be the social butterfly, but I know that as much as I want to get out of this town and away from this life why jeopardize my only chance to getting into a good college in another city by failing high school.

Not an option

I got myself out of bed and headed toward my closet to find a good outfit to fit the weather for today. I pulled out a pair of leggins a long white off the shoulder tee shirt and a pair of white flats. Satisfied with my outfit I headed to the bathroom for the normal girl routine. After getting out and dressed, I applied some light make up and tasseled my long brown hair into a messy bun and grabbed my gray draped vest in case I get cold.

I walked down stairs toward the kitchen to be greeted by Rosa making a fresh pot of coffee.

I could her my mom on the phone from the living room probably gossiping to one of the wives that are in thier social group for my dads campaign. Probably bad mouthing someone else's kid to make her feel better about having me in her life. I grabbed a small cup of coffee and Rosa handed me my cinnamon raisen bagel with cream cheese. I smiled to her as she reurns the genuine smile back.

"Rosa when I leave here im taking you with me" I whisper to her and she smiled. Rosa has been in this family ever since we came to this town almost 7 years ago now. She wasen't with us when I was attacked as a kid but she knew what happened. She has seen a lot of my down falls and the reason I love her so much is because she is the only one who has never judged me. She always tells me im a bird with a slight broken wing. Just because I cant fly now doesn't mean I will never be able to, im just not healed to fly on my own. And no one should ever love you less because of a flaw. Rosa is my rock I don't know where I would be with out her in my life.

I thanked her for the breaskfast as I was about to head back up stairs to grab my bag and keys my mother calls for me.

Jordyn !

Fucking great I though to myself.

I walked into the living room to see my mom filing her already manicured nails. She looks up to me with an arched eye brow and a disgusted look on her face. I can already tell this conversation was going to go completely nowhere.

I headed back up stairs to grab my things so I can quickly be on my way. My blood still fuming from the talk with mommy dearest. She finally got around to checking her voice mail from the principle telling her about my actions in school and of course my well known attitude. And of course how badly I disappoint my father and her, how they cannot wait until im on my own yada yada. I just need to get the hell out of this household.

I unlocked my jeep and plugged in my iPOD and starting heading toward the city for my day two adventure. As I started seeing the tall buildings I knew I was about 5minutes before pulling into the city itself. I turned onto 5th and Parkway and pulled into in the parking garage. I walked out of the garage and headed toward to the book store to find research for my project on unhealthy body images for teenagers that is caused by over-representation of underweight fashion models and other entertainment figures in the social media.

I walk in to see a friendly old man behind the counter on a small stepping ladder with his back facing me as he stacking his new arrivals behind him on a very old wood shelf. He turns around with a huge grin.

"Hello how may I help you?" he asks sounding like a grandfather would talk to his granddaughter

"um yes im actually looking for the health and fitness section and also the magazines" I say with a smile

"Absolutely !" He says hurrying down the ladder he now looks a lot shorter then what I thought he was. He had on this dark brown sweater vest with a pair of old brown pants and glasses he definitely pulled off the librarian look.

"follow me this way Miss.. I'm sorry deary I didn't get your name?"

"Its just Jordyn"

"Ahh yes Miss. Jordyn if you like I can set you up with a card for here while your browsing the isles?"

i usually wouldn't but he is really sweet and honest I couldn't say no

"That would be great Mr...?"

"Ah yes where are my manners my dear im Mr. Walter Schmidt but please call me Walt. I've owned this store since I was a boy and my father passed it down and his father before him. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

With his thick southern accent and hospitality he reaches for my hand and kneels as he kisses the top of my hand while gently releasing it and continued to lead the way toward the right isle.

"Mr. Schm- I mean Walt you're store seems very small on the outside I never knew how big this place really was."

"Ah for things always seem different on the outside then in my dear. I have a lot of people in here since I pretty much sell everything from articles to do it yourself kits. Back to school stuff to college books. I sell it all my dear"

He is right, I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover since that's all people including family have done to me for as long as I can remember. I think this is the beginning to a beautiful friendship between Walt and I.

"Here we are Jordyn all health and fitness if you have any questions ill be up front and the magazines are all the in the back along the back wall."

"Thank you Walt I should be fine. If I can't find something ill look for you" another smile I return to him.

"Well alright, Enjoy your reads" He smiles again before he returns to the front since the bell dinged letting him know he had another customer. I turn to the enormous wall of all different books, pamphlets, articles. I know this is going to take a while as I tossed my messenger bag on the nearest table and began my research.

Awhile later I looked at my watch to see that I have been at this research for about 2 ½ hours now. I decided to take a break and go get some lunch. I left all my research papers on the table and headed back toward the front. Seeing Walt still on that ladder putting books up and re arranging the shelf.

"Hey Walt im going to grab some lunch, did you want me to pick you up something?"

"Ah your as sweet as apple pie, If you wouldn't mine getting an old man a tuna sandwich and a coffee perhaps?'

"Sure that's no problem"

He tries reaching into his coin bag until I insisted on paying for him. He was a sweet guy and I wanted to do a good deed. He grinned ear to ear once I finally convinced him to let me pay I was out the door. I walked about 3 blocks until I heard the loud roar and then the rain quickly began to down pour. I hurried and ran into a coffee shop. A jingle went off and I was shaking off the rain until I heard a woman say

"Hello welcome how many today?"

I looked up to see a very familiar blond hair woman in front of me standing behind a counter. Looking around I just realized that i have walked into the same shop Blake brought me to yesterday. I was in Lucky's. From the looks of it I am not the only one who came back for another hot beverage.

And he wasen't alone Becky was sitting right across the table.
