Becca
"Yes, Tyson, we are going! I haven't seen Grace in forever, and supposedly she met her soulmate and we are going to meet him," I insisted as I straightened my light pink dress, knowing it complimented my tanned skin wonderfully. "Chase and Alannah are supposed to be there too, and it's going to be fun."
He rolled his eyes and gave me a playful smile. "Fine, but Becca, you know last time you were with Grace, she was kind of a bitch," he shot back with the raise of his eyebrows because he knew he was right.
I shrugged my shoulders, and ran my fingers through my hair because I didn't want to admit it. We haven't talked since she came over, and then told me she was tired of this bullshit, so the fact that she reached out to me was momentous. She hasn't talked to me, or Chase, until yesterday when she sent out a group text inviting us and our soulmates to go swimming at her soulmate's house. The whole text was weird, but the weirdest part about it was the fact that she wouldn't tell us who her soulmate was. She hadn't even told me that she met him. I thought maybe she would contact us once she was happy, but maybe she recently met him; I'm not sure what is going on with Grace anymore.
Finally, I turned to Tyson, his brown eyes were watching me and he was waiting for a reply. "I know, Grace has been a little bit hard to handle lately, but she's reaching out to us, and I'm not going to let this go to waste. What if she doesn't try to hangout with us again?" I asked as I put my hands on my hips. "Plus, I'm freaking curious to see who the hell her soulmate is."
A smile spread across his lips, the one he always gives to me whenever he's amused. "Then, we better hurry up before she changes her mind," he shot back. He grabbed my hand and dragged me outside to his nice yellow sports car, I didn't know what it was even though he told me a million times, and I pulled up the directions on my phone. This was something I always did while he drove because he was horrible at directions and driving in general.
As we drove, he was talking about the football camp he's about to start going to for college, so I'll definitely need Grace to keep me company while he's gone. Hopefully, this whole day will bring us closer together. I'm not saying that one day can repair our whole friendship, but this is definitely going to be a stepping stone.
When we pulled up to the cute little house, I saw that Chase and Alannah were already there, but there was one other car. Had Grace invited another couple I didn't know? Tyson leaned over to look at my phone. "Are you sure this is the place? This is Alex's house," he questioned and then he brought his curious eyes up to meet mine.
My jaw dropped, but I knew Tyson hadn't made the connection yet. "Alex and Grace must have been matched! I knew they needed to meet!" I shouted with a giddy smile plastered onto my face. I couldn't take it any longer, I hopped out of the car, and dragged him to the backyard. The gate was open and I heard people chatting as we walked in. "Hi!"
Chase and Alannah were in the pool with another couple while Grace and Alex were bringing out snacks and setting them on a table. Then, Tyson leaned down to whisper in my ear, "Alright, you told me so." One reason I love him is the fact that he will always admit when I am right, which is most of the time.
"I always am," I shot back, and then I gave him a quick kiss. "I'm going to go help them." I hurried over to them as he wrapped an arm around her waist. She was wearing her little bikini and her blonde hair was in a high ponytail; she looked freaking amazing.
Then, she turned to smile at me. "Oh, hi, Becca. This is Alexander, and Sharla and Patrick are over there, I don't know if you've met them yet," she introduce, smiling up at her soulmate.

Teen FictionLife was a confusing, stupid concept. We live to meet our soulmates; our timers tick tick tick, we meet our soulmates, we entertain ourselves, and then we die. That's all there is to it. Was I here for something bigger? Well, I sure hoped so, but I...
