Percy's POV

I knock on Annabeth's apartment door, figeting with the zipper on my blue jacket. Annabeth opens the door looking disheveled, she's probably been up late with the baby. She gives me a small smile and ushers me inside. I sit on their couch, the same spot where I sat when Jason and I were here a few weeks ago. Gods, I miss him, I think to myself forlornly. "So," Annabeth says, sitting across from me, "what brings you to our humble abode?" As soon as she says this a baby cry erupts from another room. She sighs as Piper brings in a crying Silena. I give her a sympathetic look as she starts rocking Silena gently.

"Annabeth, with you make her a bottle, please?" Piper asks trying to calm the wailing infant. Annabeth nods and heads to the kitchen to fix a bottle. I sit there awkwardly not knowing what to do. Eventually, Annabeth and Piper are sitting across from me, ready for me to explain the reason for my visit.

"I don't think Jason told me the truth about going to Camp Jupiter," I begin, and both girls give me a sympathetic look. "I recently spoke with Reyna, and I asked her how things were going at camp. She said that things were going fine... And then I asked how Jason was doing at camp," I say pausing to calm myself down, "she said that Jason wasn't at camp and hasn't been at camp this whole time." When I finish tears are threatening to spill, I wipe them away angrily.

Annabeth comes and sits next me, putting a hand on my knee, "We know, Percy, he told us about his plan. You see, Leo needed Jason's help... Calyso is dying and Leo is trying to save her." Thoughts whirl around my head and I feel my hands start to shake.

"I need to go to him," I announce, standing up, "where is he?" Piper stands up along with me, feeding Silena.

"He's in Arcadia, but are you sure you want to go there?" Piper asks, her kaleidoscope eyes glistening.

I shake my head, my mind racing. "Yes, I need to see him, maybe I can help?"

Annabeth puts a hand on my shoulder and gives me a grim look. "Be careful Percy, and remember why he did it. Don't let this one thing ruin everything," she says and I nod. I give both of them a hug and kiss on the cheek. Now, I have to begin my journey to Arcadia and get my Superman.

Jason's POV

Leo and I begin our search for the sorceress early in the morning. Luckily, it doesn't take long to find her house. It's a small home with white siding and a blue roof. Bright colored flowers bloom in front and around the yard. We travel up the sidewalk in front of the house and ring the doorbell. A mixed woman with curly hair, bright blue eyes, and freckles answers the door. She is dressed similar to Mother Nature and her eyes remind me of Jason's. To be frank, she's quite beautiful. I notice Leo's eyes widen, I assume he wasn't expecting someone so pretty. "Are you Layla?" I ask, trying to sound polite.

She narrows her eyes, "Who's asking?"

Leo pulls out the picture of the staff from his tool belt, "We just wanna ask you about this staff. My name is Leo and this is Jason." She stands up straight, looking Leo and me over.

"Very well, come in and don't touch anything." Leo looks at me and grins. We both head inside and I raise my eyebrows. The inside of her home is neat and modern, definitely not what I was expecting. She does, however, have crystals littered on many of her shelves. She sits on a swinging chair and motions for us to sit. Leo and I take a seat on her couch, sitting there awkwardly. "Well? Are you going to tell me why you're inquiring about my staff?"

Leo sits up straight at this, "My fiancé, she's dying and I need that staff to save her. Her name is Calypso, she's been slowly regaining her magical powers after I rescued her from Oygyia. She was practicing this one spell and it backfired." Leo looks at her the whole time he explains this, I can tell he's close to breaking down.

Layla processes this for a moment. She looks Leo over, trying to figure out if he's lying or not. "Boy, do you even know how to use my staff? Or, what spell to use?" Leo looks down, obviously not having gotten that far. Layla rolls her eyes and rubs her temples. "How did you even find me?" She asks, looking at the both of us.

"Luna, daughter of Nyx, told us how to find you," I say, hoping she doesn't kill us after having said that. She clenches her fist but keeps her temper under control.

"Luna and I grew up together, did you know that? We were the best of friends, that is until she up and left me. After Luna left, I was alone and she was the only one who stood up for me. The humans outcasted me and I was forced to leave, and here I am," she finishes, glaring at the ground. "That staff is the only thing that connects her and me," she says looking at the both of us, "I will come with you and save your fiancée, after that, I intend to have a few words with Luna."

Leo grins brightly at this and so do I. Of course we'll have to make room in the car for her, but Calypso will finally get the help she needs. "Thank you, Layla, I have no idea how we can repay you."

Layla grins, "Just don't get us killed and let me sit up front in your car. Let me pack a bag and then we can leave tomorrow." She gets up and sets off down a hallway. Leo and sit on her couch, happy that we succeeded.

About 15 minutes later, Layla comes out her room bearing a duffle bag and the staff that will save the day. "Will that staff attract monsters?" Leo asks eyeing it.

Layla shrugs, "Probably, which is why we're leaving first thing in the morning tomorrow. Leo nods and we all head out the door heading back to the diner to get breakfast and plan our journey.

Two hours later, we've successfully planned our journey to Camp Jupiter and head back to hotel. As we pull in, I notice a familiar green eyed boy standing in front of our hotel room. Oh crap, I think to myself and Leo looks at me guiltily. I am in so much trouble, and with that I get out of the car ready to face my angry husband.

A/N: I feel like this chapter came out a lot better than the last one. Maybe because I was watching Harry Potter while writing it. I have a major crush on Emma Watson but we won't talk about that. Anyways, I hope y'all enjoyed. Stay fabulous!!
