The Love Story Continued

Chapter 12

Jason's POV

It's been a few weeks ever since the adventure with Leo and Layla. Calypso has healed from her injury and is happily staying away from magic for now. She says she's going to return to it again, though.

Layla keeps in touch with Leo, Percy, and I. She went back to Arcadia, and she wants to get out and help more people. Apparently, Calypso inspired her. I'm proud of her though.

Percy and I have never been better. We put the whole thing behind us, and we've moved on. Annabeth apologized for ratting me out but it was 'for the best.' But, she's not wrong.

I walk out into the living room of our apartment to find Percy sprawled out on the couch watching Netflix. I crawl on the couch and snuggle up to Percy, partially laying on him. "What's up?" He asks, looking down at me.

I shake my head, "Nothing, just cuddling with my wonderful husband." He chuckles softly and runs his fingers through my hair. I love when he does this. After a few moments of silence, I speak up, "Percy, what do we do now?" He looks down on me, confused. "I feel like after that whole adventure our lives should change. What's the next step?" I ask, elaborating on my point.

Percy thinks for a moment. "There are a lot of things we could do. We could get a dog, a new house, a new job," he pauses, "or we could have a kid."

I sit up at this, so my legs are hanging off the side of couch. "You want to have kids?" I question, looking at Percy.

Percy sits up and grabs my hands. "Of course I wanna have kids with you Jason. I love you so much and I'd love to see a little one running around. You'd be a great daddy," he finishes, and I have to force my mind from thinking dirty and ruining this heartfelt moment.

I nod, processing all of this. I don't know why, but it blows my mind that Percy wants to be a parent. Maybe it's because it's such a big step. "Alright," I say, grinning, "but first, let's get out of this apartment."

Percy laughs, "Sounds like a plan." And with that we share a kiss, our future bright and our hopes high.
