That robot, is very odd. So she respects my decision to want to destroy the robots? But how could she, that would mean killing her too. And how dare she think that she understands me and what Layla and I have been through.
I stand, looking away from her. "You don't understand how it feels." I say bitterly.
She sighs closing her eyes, "No I don't." She says simply. "Because I have never had a family."
I'm not surprised, not at all. How could a robot have a family? It's not possible, they are made, not born. But still, that small sentence hit me hard. Is it worse to not have a family, or to loose it? Could it be possible that maybe she has suffered more then I have? No.
It stands, "I should go." She says.
"Where?" Mimi asks.
"The only place I call home." It says with a slight sigh.
Then a loud series of beeps emerges from its arm. Its eyes widen as it looks down at it. "I don't have much time left." She murmurs.
"What do you mean?" Layla asks.
"Stay here!" She shouts, then runs her hard feet smack against the ground.
"What was that?" I ask.
Mimi hops on the balls of her feet before bolting after the robot.
"Mimi!" Layla shouts, but she's gone.
Layla and I share one look before running after her.
When we catch up to them, the women is shouting, "What are you doing here?! Run!" It says.
"Hannah, what's wrong?" Mimi asks with a trembling lip.
"Just go!" She shouts.
Then in the distance a floating black orb comes into view.
"Oh no." She whispers.
"What is that?" I ask.
"It's going to see you, you have to run!"
"Did you call that, thing?" Layla's asks.
"You have to go!"
The orb is about ten feet away when it locks its position on us and gets ready to fire.
"No!" She shouts, then brings a fist to the black orb. The orb cracks, then breaks apart into chunks of mechanics. The most dreadful sound comes out of the orb as it dies, the sound of a dieing animal.
"Hannah?" Layla asks.
She stands there, arm out in the air, not moving.
"Hannah what just happened?" Mimi asks.
Then she collapses, landing hard on the ground.
"Hannah!" Layla and Mimi shout, simultaneously.
"My systems are shutting down, you, have, to, run, please."
"Hannah, are you going to die?" Mimi asks.
She twitches, and doesn't reply.
"Come on." Layla says then clears her throat. "Let's go."
