Haizaki Ryouhei x reader

Almost done with the Genda one-shot, still got the Hiura one-shot to do. Its taking forever asdfghjkl i still gotta catch up with ie eps. Urgh... I broke my finger so yeah i'm struggling with writing also ive got hella lotta family to visit. :)))) Anyways enjoy!

"Oh hey Haizaki long time no seen, you here to visit Akane-nee too?" You asked stepping out of the hospital's doors. You had known Haizaki ever since you were kids and had grown up in the same neighbourhood as him but then you and your older sister Akane had been recruited for the Ares programme. Years later, your sister had been harmed in the programme and she had suffered, as a result it led to her becoming relatively quiet. Every time you went to visit her, she would only give one word answers. It hurt you to see your dear sister like that but there was something else that hurt you so badly. 

"Yeah, wanna go get a coffee after?" Asked Haizaki, before you knew it you quickly nodded and waited for him outside the hospital. Whilst you were waiting, you spotted Nosaka Yuuma, one of the former recruits of the Ares programme and also a good friend of your sister, entering the hospital with a bouquet of flowers. It didn't take a genius to work out who those flowers were for. You quickly hid behind a nearby bush, if Yuuma spotted you it would be the end of you. After a few moments, Haizaki came out of the hospital and looked around for you, you signalled him towards where you were.

"Why are you hiding in a bush?" He frowned at you as you cleaned yourself up and awkwardly smiled at him. 

You headed towards the nearest cafe. It had been years since you had spoken to Haizaki, after joining the Ares programme you had lost all contact with your friends and family. However Haizaki did not know that YOU were in the Ares, he only knew that Akane was in it. 

"So whatcha been up to in the past years?" You asked sitting down as Haizaki handed you your coffee. He looked at you with a poker face.

"Not much, just the usual. How about you?" You shrugged.

"Same, i'm moving to Seishou in a few weeks so i'm just kinda busy..." Haizaki almost spat out his coffee and looked at you dumbfounded.

"I GO TO SEISHOU!" He yelled at you. 

"Oh! What a coincidence!" You yelled back trying to seem just as surprised. Recently, after certain events had taken place you had decided to move schools so you asked your parents if they could transfer you to Seishou and they had agreed. Oh and it definitely wasn't because Haizaki goes there too, oh no, nope. Ok maybe... 

"When are you starting?" He asks after calming down. You look down at your feet and mumble "tomorrow" but loud enough for him to hear. Haizaki gave you a soft smile. "You'll be alright." He assured you.

TIME SKIP~

"Pleased to meet you. My name is (L/N)(F/N). Let's get along." You spoke to your new class mates which included Haizaki, who was seated at the back next to the window. He looked at you and gave you a nod. After you were let out of class for lunch time you went straight to the football club to sign up. It had been a few months since you had last played football but oh well. You approached a blue haired male who was the team captain.

"Excuse me, could I join the football club?" You asked him after you got his attention. He exchanged a nod with his fellows and directed you to the coach as the decision was up to him.

"Fine, let's see your football skills." Said coach as he handed you the ball. You had played as a forward before. You stood in front of the goal and took a deep breath. In a blink of an eye, the ball had passed the goalkeeper and had been shot right into the goal. Everyone was left with their jaws open, you looked over to the coach who was trying not to look surprised. He looked at you, "You're in." He simply said and walked off. You spotted Haizaki in between the crowd with his mouth wide open, you winked at him and walked off.

Ever since, you became the star player after Haizaki of course. Unlike him, you were calm and patient with everyone. One day, you were walking home from practice and you were stopped by someone. Nosaka Yuuma. Your heart was pounding faster than ever, you were in trouble.

"Well, well if it isn't (L/N)-san." Said Yuuma in a serious tone. You dropped your bag and showed him your fists, he let out a chuckle. "Don't worry I won't hurt you, I'm here to ask you to help the Ares programme great again. I just came back from visiting your sister, she seemed quite eager to join." You clenched your fists even more till your knuckles turned white.

"NO! HOW DARE YOU? LEAVE AKANE ALONE! HAVEN'T YOU DONE ENOUGH DAMAGE?!" You screamed at him as tears rolled down your cheek. Yuuma watched you for a few seconds.

"Think about it." He said as he walked off.

For the next few days you decided to not attend practice and school as a whole. After a week of pretending to be sick, you went back to school and handed your resign application to your football coach. He looked at you and asked if you were sure, you nodded and walked off. You also decided to let your friends know that you wanted some space for a few days and you were left alone. Haizaki had been watching you during the whole week and it was starting to irritate him, he didn't know why and he hated this dumb feeling within him.

The bell rang to signal the end of the day, you grabbed your bag and headed out. You reached your locker and were about to reach for your shoes when you were shoved into the wall. You looked up and saw Haizaki, his arms caged you in between him and the wall. Your face  started to heat up and looked away.

"Look at me." His voice echoed in the empty hallway. You shook your head. He put two fingers under your chin and made you look at him. "Why are you acting so weird?"

"It's nothing..." You mumbled. He shot you a glare. 

"Why'd you quit the team?"

"I...don't belong there... I don't belong on the field."

"WHO ELSE APART FROM YOU DOES THEN?!" Asked Haizaki getting more irritated by the minute.

"AKANE. Haizaki..." You looked into his grey orbs. "I was part of the Ares programme too... After what they did to Akane-nee, I ran away." You finally confessed to him. He looked at you horrified. 

"No...Not  you... Those bastards." He said moving away from you. "Still, why have you been avoiding me?" Once again, your face went red.

"You should just go visit Akane... I'm going home." You said walking away. 

"But it's not Akane who I want to see, (F/N). It's you." He said approaching  you, you looked at him and blinked. He nodded just to confirm that he meant what he had just said. He stretched out his hand. "Will you help me bring back football and take revenge on Ares for all the damage they've done?" You smiled widely and fell into his arms and whispered a yes. Haizaki placed a small peck on your head. You decided to walk home holding hands. The next day, you joined the football team again to take revenge on those who had harmed you and your sister, Haizaki stood by your side.
