My name is Thea Johnson. I am 16 years old, and entering my Junior year of High School.
There's a lot of things you don't know about me. So, let me start by telling you about what I am known for. Socializing.
I am quite the social butterfly. Everyday, I wheel myself down the white hallways of the hospital, greeting each patient along the way. Some have been here just as long as I have, others have just arrived.
New or old, I talk with my fellow prison mates, as I like to call us, and get to know them, keeping them company, and mostly keeping myself sane.
Even the doctors all know me. I sometimes go into the doctors lounge and have lunch with them. The nurses usually invite me in and the doctors have always been welcoming to their youngest, and longest patient.
Not what you were expecting, huh? I'm guessing you were expecting something along the lines of, Thea Johnson, the most popular girl in school!
I guess, you weren't too far off. I was the talk of the town two years ago, when I was first brought into the hospital. Everyone was talking about how the girl in their class, was paralyzed waist down in a car accident.
Not anymore though. I no longer am able to greet the people that once remembered my name, and knew me for my crazy personality. I am now, the girl that got in an accident and disappeared.
People slowly forgot about me, and went back to their old lives. Expect for the teachers. While the students moved on with their lives, the teachers made sure that I was keeping up with my studies and not falling behind.
Usually, I would be grateful to be remembered by the ones I loved. Except, the teachers weren't the ones I loved. My friends were the ones I loved. But, they left me, and stopped visiting me soon after I was admitted into the hospital.
And so there you have it. A short snippet of my sad life. My life of waiting to be released. Waiting to go... home?
Except I have no home.
A/N : Hey! Sorry this is a short chapter, I just want to start things off. I promise things will get more interesting! Haha. Please remember to vote and comment! Second chapter will be out soon!
