There are a set of stereotypes about the new girl at Collin's High.

She usually has about one or two friends at most. She's pretty shy, she's usually pretty nerdy, she walks to classes alone, and eat's in the corner of the cafeteria.

I, pretty much broke all the rules of being the new girl.

First of all, I don't walk to classes, I wheel my way to classes, and I'm never alone cause someone always pushes me.

Second of all, I'm no where near nerdy, I barely survive my classes, though I admit I do end up doing relatively well in my classes.

Third of all, I don't eat in the corner of the cafeteria. I don't even eat in the cafeteria.

And lastly, the one stereotype I expected to match, was the friends one. I excepted one or two friends that I was decently close with and sometimes sat with.

These past few weeks have proven both me and the school wrong.

The group of 6 people surrounding me, I can confidently say, have become my closest friends.

Noah and I hit it off through our common nickname for Sean, Eric is so sweet that you can't not get along with him, Michelle and I are basically twins, so it was destined to happen, Fiona, I met a 2 weeks ago, and we pretty much became friends in about 5 minutes, and then there's Sean.

While I'm not one hundred percent sure as to were we stand, we have made progress. He's been talking more and smiling more. Even Noah is shocked at his behavior. Turns out the kid as some cute teeth so show.

So, as we sit at our designated table, Eric lecturing Noah about eating etiquette for the hundredth time, I couldn't be more happy about the friends I have made at Collins High.

"Yo earth to Thea? You've held your sandwich in your hand for the past 5 minutes." Noah's voice pulls me out of the trance I didn't even realize I was in.

"Oh whoops, sorry I zoned out."

I checked the time, and realized that I had to head into the office for my pills in a few minutes so I basically swallowed my sandwich whole.

"Ok Thea, what's wrong with you today. First you don't eat anything then you swallow the whole thing?" Noah's comment makes everyone laugh

"I gotta go and wanted to eat my food. Staring out in space makes me hungry." I say, mouth full of food. Eric shakes his head and mutters something about the lack of manners throughout everyone in our group which cracks everyone up again.

"Alright gang, I gotta go." I packed my bag and hung it around my chair.

Everyone noticed about my everyday early leave from lunch, but no one really brought it up.

"Have you guys seen Sean?" A sea of shaking heads gives me my answer.

"Alright. Bye guys see you later!"

"Meet us at the parking lot in 15!" Fiona calls out. We my friends were going on another cafe people watching session. Fiona, along with Michelle and I has free period after lunch.

It was fate's way of telling us to go and create stories about people who we see enjoyed their afternoon coffee.

My trip to the nurse, and my coffee date with Fiona and Michelle went as expected. First it was a pang of annoyance as I swallowed down my daily reminder that I am diseased, but then it was the laughter that reminded me I can be normal too.

My last class of the day went by in a blur, and it was suddenly the end of the day.

As I waited in the parking lot of Sean to come so he could drop me home (Stacy had a teacher meeting), I realized that I hadn't seen him all day.
