School offices. Somewhere I never really spent much time in, and somewhere preferred to stay away from.
So, you can probably imagine that I am having the time of my life, sitting here in this dark lit school office, waiting to talk to the principle.
Sarcasm.
"Ms. Johnson?" I turn my head in the direction of the voice calling the familiar name. "Come in."
I nod and move my chair in the direction of the large doors held open by the school secretary.
The doors close just as I am in the room. I look around the room filled with shelves of books and folders.
The principle is seated behind the desk labelled Principle Clawfield. Slightly to the right of the principle's desk there is a tall (probably 6 ft) boy. He has dirty blonde hair, shining, blue eyes, and an obviously built body.
Damn this boy is fit! And hot...
While all his physical features sparked unwanted attraction towards him, his facial expression did anything but that.
He had a stone cold expression, his eyes void of any emotion.
"Ms. Johnson! Welcome to Collins High! Principle Clawfield's booming voice turns my attention from the boy towards where he is sitting.
I nod in response, and he continues. "I'm so glad you are joining us on our first day. I understand you are mostly ready to go, there are just a few things I needed to go over with you." My nod assures him to continue.
I, however didn't listen to him at all. I was too lost in figuring out the deal with this boy. He showed no sense of emotion and barely moved the entire time, other than an occasional flip of his hair that got into his eyes.
Principle Clawfield recaptured my attention at the mention of the boy.
"This is Sean White. He is going to help you out. You have most classes together, expect for a few in which he has friends that will look out for you." I smile at the boy, finally knowing a bit more about him and his presence in the room.
"Nice to meet you." I said reaching out my hand for him to shake. He ignores my head and gives me a slight nod and mumbles something I don't catch.
I take back my arm and listen to the rest of the Principle's instructions.
"Alright, your set to go!" Principle Clawfield stands up, to see Sean and I out. Sean gets behind my chair and starts to push me towards the doors.
As Sean pushes me through the crowded hallways of Collins High, there is an awkward silence between us. Well, other than the constant shouting and talking of the students I mean.
He doesn't say a word to me, simply pushing me down the packed hallways to God knows where.
"Erm, Sean? Where are we going?" I ask, breaking the silence surrounding the two of us.
"Have you never been to high school before? Your locker. Gosh thats kinda where all your stuff is kept." he deadpanned. Once again the emotionless Sean has shown his lack of social skills.
Debating on whether if I should refute his previous rude comment with one of my own, or to stay quiet, my need to talk back gets the best of me and I blurt without thinking.
"Well for your information, I haven't been anywhere but the hospital for the past two years. Shocking isn't it? The girl who can't walk, locked up in a hospital. Would have never thought, huh? Next time, if your going to take up the job of helping a disabled girl around, try to understand her a bit before hand. But, seeing as how rude you are, I doubt it was your own choice and rather punishment for something you did."
