"August bring your ass downstairs!" I yelled from the kitchen. He seems to always disappear when dinner is finally done, but when I'm cooking he's all up my ass.

"Hea' I come!" He responded.

"Mommy can I bring my iPad to the table?" Madison asked sitting in her usually seat. "Will you eat all of your food?" She'll be so intrigued into the show she watched on her iPad that she won't eat her food. She barely blinks.

"Yes, I promise." She nodded and ran off to retrieve it. I heard August coming down the steps talking to Mason.

"You gone be a big boy and eat your peas right?"

Mason just looked at him like "nigga who eating what". I laughed and grabbed my baby. He has gotten so big since I had him.

I've cried almost everyday because he and Madison are getting bigger as the days go and it's making me feel old.

"Nadia get that damn filter off my son." August laughed. It's not my fault I got Mason addicted to filters.

"Daddy is such a hater isn't he?" I kissed Mason's cheek

"August." I said as Madison finally came back to the table with her IPad and earphones.

"What?" He asked like he didn't just say that our son was going to be gay from Instagram and Snapchat filters.

I shook my head. "Bless the food stupid."

He sucked his teeth and began saying a prayer.

"Lord my father and savior thank you for my food that my dear fiancé has cooked and my body is about to consume." He said sounding like a pastor stomping his food.

"Yes suhh, I thank ya Lord! Thank you! Jesus name we pray amen." He said then dug in.

"You going straight to hell." I laughed. "What I do?" He laughed.

"Playing while saying grace. Watch you gone choke on ya food or something." I laughed feeding both Mason and I.

"Yeah aight. Trust and believe baby the Lord and I are tight. Ain't that right big man?" August asked looking to the ceiling.

Ridiculous.

I looked over at Madison who was only watching her show.

"Madison." She didn't flinch, look up, blink. August snatched her earphone off.

"Hey." She reaches for them. "Eat." He said and she began eating her mashed potatoes.
