Chapter 11

"Hey everybody." I said walking into August's shop. "Hey boss lady." Maleek said sitting in one of the front couches.

"Where's everyone?"

"Uhh, Rell and Twitch doing a tat, Jeff went on break like a couple minutes ago. Ya brothas in the back."

"Where's lil miss diva?" I pointed over to the empty receptionist desk. "Oh I don't know, but Tez been answering the phone for us." He shrugged.

"Oh okay, thanks."

"Where's Aug?"

"He's feeling a little down, to the loss of his uncle so I came to make sure everything was good."

"Aww damn, tell him I'm sorry for his loss." I nodded "Thank you." I started heading towards the back.

"Rell." I waved in his room. "Sup ma."

"How you doing today sir?" I acknowledged the customer. "Good and yourself."

"Fine."

"Holla at me when I'm finish, aight?" I gave him the thumbs up and walked across the hall to Twitch's spot.

"Hey T."

"Wassup, Miss.Lady."

"How you doing ma'am?"

"I'm fine, thanks for asking."

"No problem, I'll let you finish up Twitch."

He nodded and began talking to his customer again.

Finally making it to Tailan's office I barged in.

"Who the fuck— oh wassup sis?"

"Hey." I laughed. "Hey munchkin." Dink hugged me.

"Stoopid." Nick stood up to give me his seat. "Thanks baby bro."

"He think he a gentlemen now 'cause he got a girl." Tez laughed. "Damn everybody dating and I haven't met none of these lor girls. What happened to y'all hitting me up like 'so sis I'm fuckin' wit this girl right'?" I folded my arms across my chest.

"We just been caught up that's all sis, we still love you." Dink kissed my cheek. "Right and you crazy as hell, we ain't tryna have you scare them away." Nick laughed.

I sucked my teeth. "What the hell ever, I just be making sure ain't no bitches dogging my brothers."

"We get that, but leave that to us." Tailan chuckled getting up from his desk. "Where my right hand man at?"

"At home, Uncle Joe back in New Orleans was killed."

They shook their heads and sighed.

"Damn man we gotta go pay our respects and dead the niggas that did it." Tailan said. They all agreed.

"Like I told August, that's not happening. That's what they want and that's not what we going to feed into. Tailan you have a kid now, you have to put him before everything, Dailan,Tez and Nick y'all may not have kids but you have me, Madison, Mason, y'all girlfriends who adores you. Think about what would happen if y'all went there to deal with this and never came back. How would that impact the ones I just named?"

"You right sis." Tez nodded. "Damn always saying something, making us rethink the situation." Tay sucked his teeth.

"That's what I'm here for." I smiled. "But I just came to stop by, I have to go back home after I make market (grocery shopping)."

"Oh ard bet, hit us when you home." Dink hugged me. "We love you sis."

"I love y'all more."

"And tell Aug we'll be there later on to chop it up."
