"Where ya lil ugly ass been at?" August nudged my head as he walked into the kitchen. "The nail shop, see." I waved my hands in his face.
"I got mines done too daddy, look!" Maddie said jumping on her stool in front of the sink to show August her nails. "They look cute baby." he picked her up kissing her.
My "me time" wasnt going as well as I thought. I'm so used to ruckus that the quiet was actually not enjoyable, so I stopped by Terraine's and picked up Madison so we could get our nails done. Then I went back to get Mason.
"Let me and mommy talk right quick, aight?" August put her on her feet. "Its mommy and I, but okay." she said skipping away after.
"Her lil ass get too smart." August sucked his teeth. She kind of is, but for the good. Ever since she skipped a grade she's been the grammar police. "I love you, you know that right?" He kissed my ring.
"Yes, what do you want?" I kissed his lips. "Why I gotta want something?" he smacked his lips.
"Because I know you want something, so what is it?" I straight faced him. He looked at me for a second, then shook his head.
"Nothing." he went to walk away. "What is it August?" I grabbed his arm.
"I said nothing, where you want to eat tonight?" he changed the topic.
"Walker Street Kitchen?" I decided to drop the topic as well. He'll tell me when he's ready.
"Aight, let me get my keys." He left me in the kitchen. What is it that August could possibly tell me, but scared or mostly hesitant to do.
"Baby put your shoes on, we're going out to eat." I told Madison. "Mama it's kinda late."
I nodded and checked my watch. It read 10:23 pm, definitely too late to eat a large dinner. "I know, but daddy's waiting in the car, come on." I said grabbing Mason has he slept on the couch.
I walked behind Madison and locked the door. She strapped herself in as I strapped Mason in his car seat. "Everybody ready?" August asked. I nodded.
"Daddy, can I hold your phone to call Kayden?" Madison said over the bass of Drake's new song "I'M UPSET". "She probably sleep now princess." He said because he wasn't trying to give up the AUX.
"No she isn't right hea' it says dat 2kutekay is online." She explain.
"Is she on Instagram?" August whispered. "No it's an app they play on."
"Oh, oh good. Uhh not now Maddie. How about after you eat?" He tried to reason. "But Imma have the itis."
"Madison--" I cut him off. "Just give her the damn phone". He huffed and gave in.
I smiled and placed my phone on the AUX and begin playing Jhene Aiko. He rolled his eyes.

"Mason stop." I laughed. The kid finally woke up, but now has so much energy. "Son chill out." August laughed.

"Leave the menu alone Mason and act normal." Madison told him as she sat the napkin in her lap. It's like Mason knew what she said because he sat right in August lap. I looked at her along with August, she's really bougie. I laughed and shook my head at the two.
"Hello, how's everything going tonight?" a young lady came up to the table. "Everything is fine, how are you?"
"Just peachy." she smiled looking at August, but he never looked up. I cleared my throat. "Can I have a strawberry lemonade in a kid's cup, water with a lemon and sprite?"
She nodded. "Right up."
She switched away and I looked straight at August who wouldn't move. "What the fuck was that?" I whispered once Madison put her earphones on. "Nothing, I don't know who dat broad is?"
"I never said you knew her, I said what was that?" I caught him in his lie. "Well I 'on't know." he shrugged.
I nodded and looked around to see Miss.Thang waltzing over to us. "I gotta piss, I'll be right back." He said walking away,
As she sat our drinks down, I saw her name tag read Britney. Never heard him talk about one, so maybe he doesn't know her.

"Bro I swear dats ha, fuck she want from me?" I yelled through my phone at Mel. "Nigga stop yellin' at me, I aint ha and I aint suck ya dick!" he yelled back.
"Woah Mel chill! She didn't either, I stopped ha befo' she could." I confessed feeling like I had to throw up. "Well ya ass was pretty close."
"And I know dat, which is why I feel really bad. I thought the bitch was a stripper, fuck she doin' workin' night shifts hea?"
"I 'ont know yungin' but ya might wanna get back out dere befo' she come in the bathroom fo' ya ass." he laughed. I nodded as if he could see me. "Aight man much luh.'

"When we gone go for more kids?" he asked letting my hand go to grip my thigh. "Not any time soon Mister." I laughed.
"Come on Nadi. You see how beautiful Madison came out and now Mason. I make some good lookin' kids. I'm trynna have a football team of em befo' my balls shrivel up."
He always finds a way to make me laugh. "After Mason's second birthday."
"Damn, well at least I can still hit it like every night." he shrugged. "Yeah sure."
We finally arrived home to see a package on the porch. I opened my door, but August grabbed my hand and shook his head.
He stepped out first and went to see what it was. "It's from Amazon, fuckin' dicks had me thinkin' it was a bomb. They 'ont play about Prime no more I jus' ordered this, this mawning." August said coming towards the car.
"I'm done." I shook my head grabbing Mason as he grabbed Madison. "She really got the itis huh?" I laughed.
"Nope I jus' wanted to be picked up." She snickered. "Ass flake." August acted like he was about to drop her causing her to screech.
"Daddy dont do dat." she giggled. I laughed shaking my head. Closing the door, I heard the two heading upstairs.
