I listened to the sound of the monitor, fearful for that long beep that would signal a stopped heart.
Everything was coming together; the stars in the night sky had practically begun to align. So why was this happening? Why to her, why not me? I'm the one that deserves this..
Sometimes I can't help but think back to before our lives changed forever. Maybe this wouldn't have happened, maybe no one would've been hurt, maybe their lives would've been a lot better without us.
After all the shit we've been through...
How did we get here, to where we are now? Amelia, Indigo and Abbygael were just about to go to university while Cassia and the rest of us were still figuring ourselves out. It had been a long journey and we were just getting over it. Everything was almost perfect, but no, whenever something good happens in my life something else has to fuck it up.
And all it took was 5 seconds of fate.
