Adam's POV:
We've been waiting, literally, hours. I'm not even exaggerating. Although it did seem like so much more longer. We sat in these uncomfortable chairs and every time you moved you would hear this retched sound. People were crying an looking at the floor like it was interesting. No one talked.
"Adam Dahlburg?"
"That's me, sir."
"Please come. We have important information."
I walked over. I was breathing fast. I was so scared I didn't want anything to happen to the girl, who is my friend, that is like my sister.
"She is in a very, well, unstable condition."
"What do you mean?" I questioned I was waiting for a long time it seemed.
"She... she has cancer. Lung Cancer to be exact."
I froze. I pinched myself. I wanted to know wether or not I was dreaming. No not dreaming, having a nightmare.
"She will live for about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 years." The doctor said.
What am I gonna do?
I walked back to break the news. I walked back to break their hearts.
~After the crowd is told~
"Erin calm down plea-"
"NO!!! I won't calm down one of my best friends. She won't live!! I can't do it!!"
At that she left. Ethan following close behind.
We went to her room. She lied there so peacefully. It nearly scared me when she moved.
"Hi." I said softly.
"What's my diagnoses?"
"You have lung cancer."
