6:45 am came and my alarm is ringing. It scares me awake and my heart is pounding. I turn it off and sigh. I stretch a little in my bed and look out the window. The sun has barely started rising but I can hear the birds chirping.
I walk out to the common area and Rose isn't awake yet. I spend about fifteen minutes in the shower and then another 15 minutes getting ready. I then go into the kitchen and see Rose cooking. I knew I smelled pancakes.
"How many you want?" Rose asks.
"I'll have two." I grab a plate and set it on the table. I then reach into the drawer and, grab a knife and fork. I sit down and Rose places two pancakes on my plate.
She hands me the syrup, "I'm gonna go get ready."
I nod and shove some food in my mouth. I finish my food quickly and then go back into my room. Now it's 7:30 am. I lay on my bed and wait for Rose.
There's a knock on my door, "I'm ready when you are."
"Okay." I slide off my bed and groan. I grab my bag and my phone.
We walk across campus and get to the East building. We go up to the second floor and walk into our class. Room B38. It's 8:00 am. We're on time and find somewhere to sit. We sit somewhere in the middle and take out our notebooks.
Our professor starts to speak and then someone rushes into the class. Cole. Cole is always late. Explains why he might fail marketing.
"So nice of you to join us Cole." The professor remarks. Cole gives him a nervous smile and quickly sits next to me.
He fumbles with taking out his notebook and struggles to look for a pen. I watch him for a moment before rolling my eyes and handing him an extra pen.
"Thank you." He whispers. I smile at him and then continue to copy down the note.
It feels like class will last forever.
. . .
Two hours later and class is finally over. My next class is at 11:30 am. So I have some time to spare.
"Let's grab some lunch and then we can chill in the library." I push open the door and feel the heat radiating on my skin. I take a deep breath in and look back at Rose.
Rose smiles and shakes her head at me, "You're so dramatic." She laughs and stops in front of me. "You look good in this light. Let me take a picture of you."
"Okay." I hand her my phone and do a few poses. Just being me. Then I break into laughter and motion for my phone back. Rose hands it back to me and we walk back to our dorm's café. I got a coffee and a sausage English muffin. Rose gets a water bottle and a slice of banana bread.
We eat on our way to the library since they don't allow food in there. We walk in and we're greeted by the librarian sitting behind the desk. We walk to the back of the library and sit together at one of the tables.
Rose takes out her notebook and does some of her work. I take out my phone and look at the pictures that Rose took of me. I find one I like and post it to Instagram.

I set my phone down then place my head on the table. I close my eyes for what feels like two minutes. Then I feel a vibration come through my phone. I ignore it and keep my eyes closed. Then my phone starts to vibrate like crazy.
It scares me a bit and I pick it up to see a bunch of notifications from Instagram. I scroll to the bottom to see the first notification I got.

My heart is racing. I go back to the post and everything is higher. 2,138 likes? 300 comments? I take a deep breath and then see that he commented.

I giggle to myself and then like his comment. It didn't take him long to send a message my way.

I instantly smile at his message and Rose catches my attention. I look up from my phone and see her waving her hands at me. "Hey, cheesy. We gotta go or we'll be late for class."
"Sorry." I tuck my phone in my pocket and grab my bag. Now we have to walk back to the East building. I hope we make it back in time.
