Sebastian trailed behind Gil as he walked through the hallways of the hospital, the older boy holding a grocery bag in his hand as he whistled. Sebastian had a satisfied smile on his face, but as they passed by the front, he spotted Jacob Levesque, and his smile faded. Gil stopped and waved to him, but Sebastian just scowled and stormed past his brother.

In any other circumstance, he'd remain glued to Gil's side no matter what, but he didn't like Jacob. He knew nothing about him, and the fact everyone trusted him just made him all the more anxious. He didn't want him hanging near Peter, but it wasn't like he had the power to tell him to back off. Besides, Peter seemed to like him. He didn't trust him though, not one bit, and especially not with his big brother.

Yea it was clingy, and maybe he was being selfish, but he couldn't help it! From the moment he was born, all through his childhood, his brother's had been his only constant, the only ones who were always there. The bond he shared with them was tight knit, and the though that someone could so easily enter their life without so much as some kind of test....that scared him.

It had taken months for them to get used to Ben, and over a year to actually accept he was their adopted father. Jaimie, well, he was so sweet and nonthreatening there was no way Sebastian would see him as anything besides an addition to his family. He didn't seem to be there to seperate the brothers, in fact he seemed happy to be a part of them, and Sebastian really liked him, so Jaimie was an exception.

Wolf would talk about him a lot, his expression twisted into a fiercely protective look that showed he'd do anything to keep Jaimie safe, and after hearing Jaimie's story from Jaimie himself, Sebastian figured it would be against any law there was to reject him.

Jacob was an uncertainty in Sebastian's life. For the thirteen years he'd been alive, he'd surrounded himself with a protective wall of normality, constants, and safety. His brother's were the main wall around him, and he would do just about anything to keep it like that, even act clingy and selfish. He really couldn't help it though! He pretended to not remember a lot, and honestly he didn't, but he did recall bits and pieces.

Yelling, screaming, crying, arms wrapped around him so tightly, trembling as his curls were soaked in tears, gentle yet unsteady whispers reassuring him everything would be alright. Sebastian knew that his brother's had been through a lot, so despite being the youngest, he was extremely protective. People he didn't trust were the enemy, people who could hurt his brothers, make them cry. He refused to let that happen.

In his mind, the only people that mattered were his brothers, the small family he had taken years to trust completely. Ben, the man who deserved to be called their father, Emmet and Anthony, cousins who held a special place in Jaimie's heart, Peter, his big brother, one of his hero's, the one who would help him with his homework and comfort him when he was hurt or sad, Gilbert, a man who was basically his idol, someone he tried to copy, as he was Sebastian's definition of perfect, Wolfgang, the fun big brother who would take him on adventures and get in trouble with by sneaking cookies, climbing trees, sneaking stray dogs and cats into the house, and now Jaimie, the sweet boy he wanted to wrap into a hug and never release, because there was never a doubt he was safe when he could hug him.

Now, Jacob Levesque was in his life. He was close to Peter, he could make him laugh, he had some kind of power over him, meaning he could easily hurt Peter if he chose to. Sebastian didn't want that to happen. He wanted Peter safe and happy, healthy and within reach of a bone crushing hug.

Sebastian was trying not to cry as he walked into Ben's office, his face twisted up and his lips pressed tightly together. It felt like he was losing something. One of his greatest fears was change, losing his brothers, and the thought that this Jacob Levesque could very well take Peter from him scared the hell out of him.
