Peter woke surrounded by intense heat, something he was unfamiliar with. Usually when he woke up, his body would be cold and sore, his head throbbing painfully with a migraine or his chest tight, making it difficult for him to breathe. Waking up now, he felt his cheek against the comfortable cool of a hospital pillow, soft cotton sheets draped over him, up to his shoulders. His arms were curled against his chest, one hand against the pillow beside his head while the other hung over his stomach. He was so comfortable, so relaxed, with that incredible warmth surrounding him, he nearly fell asleep again, but the hot breath ghosting against his forehead, disrupting strands of his hair, woke him up enough to furrow his brow, his lips pressing into a tight line as he concentrated on the steady breathing and heat that surrounded him.

As he shifted a bit under the sheets to get more comfortable, he felt someone move beside him, curling closer as if both of their bodies were molding together. That's when he felt the arm that was slung around his waist beneath the covers, the back of his shirt lifted up, and the gentle feeling of a hot hand caressing his bare back, sliding up his spine as the one beside him shifted. The touch made a shiver run down his spine, and his eyes snapped open, his gaze immediately landing on Jacob's face, their noses just inches from touching, his eyes peaceful in sleep.

The hot blush that raged over Peter's cheeks made him gasp sharply, but as he tensed up, Jacob tightened his grip, his hand sliding higher up Peter's back as his arm bent at the elbow, pulling Peter closer unconsciously. His blush only darkened, and he spluttered a moment before grabbing the edge of the sheets and holding it up to cover his face. It would be a terrible time for Jacob to wake up, but if Peter could just slowly ease away from his friends arms-.

"We brought breakfast!" Sebastian's voice cried out as the door slammed open.

Jacob gasped sharply as he shot up, his gaze unsteady as his head whipped back and forth, both hands lifting to rub at his face and eyes, "Wh-what, ugh, what?"

Peter sat up, tugging at the back of his shirt as he looked over at the doorway where Sebastian and Gilbert were, holding two full Starbucks cup holders and a box of...probably donuts. Turning to the other side of the room, he saw Jaimie and Wolf still seated, both looking just as startled as Jacob, who was muttering darkly under his breath.

"Crazy kid, the hell's he thinking just bursting in here?"

Peter laughed a little before slowly lying back down, sighing. He lifted a hand and rubbed at his eyes as Sebastian skipped further into the room, setting the box on the foot of the bed before taking one of the cup holders from Gil and hurrying over to Wolf and Jaimie, handing them both a hot cup before spinning back around.

"Did everyone sleep good?" he asked, and Jaimie smiled and nodded, curling up more on Wolf's lap and holding his cup with both hands.

Wolf grumbled and rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand, "Oh yea, slept great till you crashed through the door."

Sebastian just stuck his tongue out at Wolf as Gil walked up to Peter's side of the bed, holding out a cup for him, "Here, we got you soy chai. Sit up," Peter pulled his hand away from his face to stare up at Gil, obeying after a moment and wincing as he sat up, leaning against the pillows and taking the cup from Gil, eying him curiously.

"Did you sleep alright?"

Gil snorted and handed Jacob a cup before leaning his hip against the side of the bed, holding up his own drink and rolling his eyes carelessly, "Not sure why you'd ask. I'm not the one who was spitting blood."

Peter's lips twisted into a tight frown as he watched Gil, feeling extremely anxious at the look on his younger brother's face. He really wanted to take the time to talk to him about what had happened the previous day with their mother, but he figured that bringing up the subtle tremble of Gil's hands wouldn't be the smartest idea, especially with Sebastian and Wolfgang in the room with them. Bringing up the past with his youngest brothers around was something Peter learned early on not to do, especially when it was mainly about Gil. He turned his gaze away and slowly sipped his hot drink, looking over at where Wolf, Jaimie, and Sebastian were all sitting.
