On the other side of the garage door, Anthony stood straight, holding his gun and flashlight up and peering around the room a moment before reaching back with his right hand, keeping the spotlight focused into the darkness as he knocked on the metal door with the barrel of his gun. He held his weapon up again as he heard scuffing against the floor behind him.
Wolfgang sprung up beside him, holding his arms up and pointing his fingers like a gun as he stared around the warehouse. Anthony just gave him a glare as Cal popped up beside Wolfgang, holding his hands in the same gun shaped position.
Anthony just rolled his eyes and lowered his gun to his side as he took a few steps forward, moving his light back and forth. Despite how many windows the warehouse itself had, they were currently in what looked like a loading garage, and it was extremely dark. He panned his light slowly back and forth as he searched for stairs, or a door that could lead into the main building.
Behind him, the five teens had regrouped, dusting off their jeans and blindly shuffling forward, "Hey Anthony, we can't see, get the hell back over here!" Wolfgang whined, and Anthony turned to flash the light in his face.
"It's your fault you didn't bring anything for light."
"I have a cell phone."
"Use it then, and quit whining."
Seth was watching him uneasily, and turned to regard Casey after a moment, "He's kind of scary when he's really involved with his job. I've never seen him look so serious."
Casey nodded slowly before reaching into his pocket and slipping out his phone, "We might as well listen," he said, his screen lighting up his face. Instantly he frowned, and his shoulders seemed to tense up, "No service," he looked at Seth, "If something happens we can't contact anyone."
"Nothing's going to happen, angel," Cal assured from a few steps ahead, where he was standing with Wolfgang, holding up a small keychain flashlight, "Come on. We better hurry before Mr. Everet gets too far ahead."
"Bit late for that," Anthony's light landed on Cal, who shielded his eyes and looked up, everyone shocked to see the cop was already up on a catwalk that that hung from the ceiling and led over to a pair of double doors located in the wall to the right.
"How'd you get up there?"
"I flew," Anthony pointed over to a metal ladder a few steps from him, "Careful coming up, a few rungs are missing."
"Oh that's creepy," Wolfgang shuddered, walking across the large garage to the ladder and aiming his phone light up, "Jeeze, this is like that horror movie Seb made me watch."
"What horror?" Cal asked, and Wolfgang glanced at him from over his shoulder,
"It's called The Hole. It has Keira Knightley in it."
"Oh shit, I hate that movie!" Cal winced, and Wolfgang grinned as he started up the ladder.
"Yeah. Poor guy killed his best friend over a coke."
"Then when he was climbing the stupid ladder he slipped and it impaled him in the damn neck!" Cal hissed, kicking the bottom rung.
Wolfgang yelped and clung onto the ladder, glaring down, "Knock it off!"
Cal shrugged and looked over at Seth, "You wouldn't kill me for a coke, would you?"
Seth quirked his head to the side, "I'd kill you for a Klondike Bar."
Cal gaped at Seth as he grabbed onto the ladder, Casey giggling as he followed, "Wait, what? Seth this is serious, that was a serious question!" he whined as he followed.
