BUCKY

In and out of consciousness I struggle to know what's real or not. My mind goes back to when Hydra was breaking my mind. Being pushed through on a metal bed, arms and legs strapped down. Bells ring in my head.
'James, we're sending you to America, okay?' A voice breaks through. Nakia I think. 'Steve is there. Shuri is ready to help you. You'll be okay.'
'Steve?' I mutter, confused and delirious. 'Come with me.'
'I have to stay here.' She says, 'you'll be okay.'
She brushes my hair back and steps back to let me be pushed onto a plane. My head is pounding and the engines are too loud. Everything goes black.
Sun bursts through and I bring my arm up to to block it. My metal arm isn't here and I feel unbalanced.
'Hey there. Welcome to the avengers block.' Tony says walking beside me and taking control of the bed I lie on.
'Tony?' I ask, looking up at him.
'Yeah that's me.' He says.
'Where's Rebecca?' I mutter.
'Rebecca?' Tony asks just before I pass out again.
My head falls to the left and I see Steve looking back at me.
'Hey there Buck.' Steve mutters.
'Steve?' I ask.
'You had me worried.' He says.
'What are you...are you okay?' I manage, falling into a cough.
'I'm fine Buck. It's you that's worrying. Do you remember anything?' He asks.
'About what?'
'About the fire? In Wakanda?' He pushes.
'What fire?' My mind is blank and I can barely hold this conversation.
'You don't remember?'
'I don't...I need to go ask...Rebecca, I need to go get Rebecca.' I say, the world starting to blur again.
'Rebecca?' He asks, surprised.
'She looked so much like Rebecca.' I say. My mind is swaying and my head is banging. Steve calls my name but I don't process it. I fall back to sleep.
