I just hang up the phone with my brother when there's a knock at the lab door. I walk back over to Peter and Bruce as Tony opens the door.
'Hey guys, meeting in ten. Anything good happening down here?' He says, wandering in. He looks beaten down, but he would do anything but admit it.
'Tony I don't know where you find these guys. They're...they're genius.' Bruce says, 'I had ideas but man, these kids.'
'So you have something?' Tony asks, hopeful.
'It's built off of Shuri's idea, an exposure to a certain sort of flash almost, that disconnects a certain part of your brain for a certain amount of time.' Bruce says.
'It means the things that they're using will still do as they do, but it won't have instantaneous effect.' I continue, 'it's the best we could do at short notice, we had a system to stop all effects but Peter spotted a couple flaws.'
'Not flaws exactly.' Peter says, in an apologetic way, 'more just, things we can't be sure of. Like if we don't allow the serum to take effect eventually, we don't know how it would vacate the body, whether it would go naturally or whether it would put up a fight.'
'That's fine, we'll take anything we have.' Tony says, 'how long does it take till it goes into effect?'
'About twenty minutes. But we figured if it's combat, it's unlikely to last much longer.' I explain.
'Perfect. Perfect.' Tony says, 'alright come upstairs, we need to talk through plans.'
