SHURI

There's a knock at my door and I'm quick to go and answer it. Pepper stands before me and it takes me a moment to realise that Dr.Banner stands behind her.
'Hey Shuri, I know you've got a lot going on, but I just wanted to introduce you to-'
'Dr.Banner.' I say, interrupting her, 'it's such an honour to meet you. Your books got me into the sciences.'
'Thank you so much.' He says, blushing, 'I didn't know people....actually read them. Voluntarily.' He holds out his hand and I shake it. 'I hear you're working on a sort of resistance for the paralytic state they got Steve in?'
'It's not far along, but yes. If you could look at it?' I ask, hopeful.
'That's what I'm here for.' He says.
'I need to call Wanda and Vision back, so I'll leave you two to it.' Pepper says, walking back to her and Tony's room.
I step out of my room, shutting the door behind me and walk down the corridor with Dr.Banner. 'So it's not so much a serum, more of a...shock. Like a flash of light that desensitises part of your brain-'
'So that it's not effected by the injection.' He finishes, 'but that's very theoretical. To get an exact measure of what part of the brain is effected is next to a guessing game.'
'That's not the part I'm struggling with.' I say.
'It's not?' He replies, surprised.
'No. I already have the technology to figure that out. It's more to do with the duration, and the side effects. Not to mention the fact that we don't know anything about how this injection was made. Whether any tampering would cause it to have negative side effects.' I say, getting lost in everything that could go wrong.
'Well let's just see what you've got and we can go from there.' He says, 'and this...technology you say you have. May I see it some time?'
'I would be honoured to have your input on any of my creations. There was a year or two where I got completely caught up in the idea that you put across in your second book, the subconscious changing?'
'Oh yeah. One of my more controversial thoughts.' He says, as we reach the lab.
'Well I spent months researching it and experimenting, trying, like you said, to unlock the rest of your brain. The unused parts.' I say, getting carried away talking to him, in the presence of one of my inspirations. 'But anyway. I kept getting stuck.'
'So did I.' He says, smiling.
'But my point is, you are an inspiration for a lot of my work. So anything you have to say, is love to hear it.' I say, bringing up my tablet and setting it on the table to project all my workings out for the prevention of the injection.
'Well by the looks of this, my input wouldn't be helpful at all. How old are you?' He asks, looking form tommy calculations to me.
'Seventeen.' I say.
'Jesus. And you did this all?' He asks, amazed.
'Tony looked it over once or twice, but I came up with all of this.' I say, looking to the hologram.
'Well kid, you might be the one teaching me a few things. But let's see what we can do.'
