Author's Note: Hi everyone! So this is my first story I'm going to be writing on here. I'm really excited and I hope you love it. So here it goes, I hope you all like it! By the way! This story is from Juliet's point of view. Pretend that Scout and Andy never went out, lol. Enjoy!
I can't believe my parents won't let me go to Warped.. Why would they do this to me?! What did I do to deserve this? I've worked so damn hard to finally get to where I am now. Don't they see that? Whatever, I'm going and they can't stop me, I'm 19, I can do whatever I want. I pulled out two duffle bags out from under my bed and rummaged through my closet and drawers. I'm so tired of my parents holding me back from actually living my life.. I've had enough. I threw everything into the black and white converse duffle bags. Then I wrote a letter to my parents that I was leaving. It was 12:00 am, and they were already asleep so I knew now was a good time to leave. So I began to write,
"I'm going on this tour and you can't stop me. I'm finally living my dream and you're keeping me in this hell-hole. Don't you see what's wrong with that? I've come so far and you're both destroying that for me. What have I done to you?! To deserve this!? I'm 19, and I'm going to show you how happy this is going to make me. What are you holding me back from? I can't believe you guys.. Don't bother to call or text. Goodbye mom and dad.. Sincerely, Juliet."
Little dew drops of sadness ran down my face as I finished. I left the note on their dresser where I knew they would see it. I took one last look at my parents who were dead asleep. I went to my room, grabbed my bags and quietly left the hell house I called my home. I walked down the street and took out my phone. I called the only person who knew what I was going through. Who understood my pain, and who could help me get away. And that was my best friend, Scout.
By the time she drove up to me in her black Chevy truck, it was almost 1:00 am. I had tears running down my face when I saw her. She got out of the car, ran up to me and pulled me into a tight loving hug.
"I can't tell you how much you mean to me, thank you so much for doing this for me Scout." I said as I sniffled into her brown hair.
"Everything's gonna be okay. You're finally living your dream." She said as she pulled away looking at me with a shy smile on her face.
I gave her a weak smile as I wiped my eyes. I turned my head around and looked at my modern-day house.
"Let's go." I said as I turned to face her.
"Okay."
We both got into her car, with her in the drivers seat. I put my two duffle bags behind me, then put my seatbelt on as we started moving. I looked in the review-mirror and watched as my house faded from my sight. I let out a sigh of relief as I slouched in my seat and closed my eyes.
Scout's POV:
I feel so bad for Juliet. The least I could do was have her stay with me for a few days before she had to leave for the tour. She's finally going to be living her dream, and her parents are pulling that away from her. I never understood them, but they were always nice to me whenever Juliet and I would have sleepovers and such. She's worked so hard for this. She doesn't deserve for her parents to be tearing her down. I hope she'll realize that things are going to look up for her.
