Taylor POV
"She's not going in if the lads are in there?"
"Come back for her in an hour." Colton's mum hits him over the head as he apologises profusely to try and save his own back. I don't understand him, I wanted nothing more than what we was like yesterday but he had to go and ruin things. "Okay dear, come on in."
"I bet you have no clue who I am do you?" I try and dry my eyes when I see the group of lads sat around the table. These can't all be her son's. 'Stop looking mate will get jealous'
'Colton can suck my-'
"Well I'm June, Colton's mum and this is his dad Andrew." June introduces me to the man sat at the table playing poker like he was in his twenties and taking the money from the lads like it was nothing. "Will you stop betting him money, you'll be poor by the end of it?" June sends a pointed glare to her husband and warns the boys. They looked to be in their twenties about the same age as Colton.
"Who's this?" One gestured to me and drew the rest of the boys attention to me. This is the last thing I need. "This is Taylor Colton's mate....for now." I laugh at her at first I thought this might have been thrown back in my face because she would always defend her son but she sees him in the wrong.
"This is Kylo, Creed, Grey, Sam, Bates and the one and only Ely." Ely points to each boy as he goes around the table. Creed hits Ely on the head and the shove each other before calming down. "Are you all her sons?" I raise a confused eyebrow which makes everyone laugh.
"Oh heaven's no, three was to many. These are Colton's elites." June replies and clears away the few pots that have gathered on the table. "Now I recognise you, you were the girl sat on his knee in the meeting." I think it was Kylo that spoke but I honestly forgot their names immediately after they were stated.
"Yep." June smiles at me before gesturing for me to go into the other room. I followed her, not wanting to hang around with the elites much longer. A week ago if you would have asked me to sit on one of their laps I would have but right now the thought is repulsive. Sitting on Colton's though seems very appealing. This is so frustrating! "So Taylor, what has my idiot of a son done to you?"
"He got all defensive because the doctor touched my back even though I looked at him for permission which I wouldn't normally do. I didn't even want to go there in the first place but he told me I had to." I ranted and surprisingly it was easier to rant to her than it was to Colton. "So I kinda made it worse and said if I wanted to be felt up by a doctor I could and then I attempted to go back in." I couldn't let him take all the responsibility because it was me that pushed it even further. Then he pushed it off a cliff and set it on fire.
"You are perfect for him." She smiles at me once more and gives me another hug. It feels weird to have this affection from someone because I spent my life trying to avoid my parents. "The mate bond gets stronger everyday and that's what made him so angry about the situation but it certainly wasn't the bond that made him lock you in a boot." I hate that I can't control what happens in my life and everything is dictated by the moon godess.
"I don't really understand what the mate bond is." I confess and begin to fiddle with my fingers. "The bond is something extra ordinary it makes you two soul mates-"
"It's what makes us love each other?" I interrupt with the question that has been at the back of my mind all my life. The only reason I didn't want a mate was because we wouldn't really be in love and he would just get to dictate what I say and do. "No, the mate bond draws you two together the love is real but you would never know of it if you never met." It actually makes sense what she is telling me, all I ever got from Darren is that he's out there closer than you think.

Mate Pull
WerewolfBang! I sat bolt upright. Did I imagine that? That noise? What was it? I clambered out of bed and almost fell down the stairs with the panic that had set in. My front door was wide open but nobody was there, the wood was just swinging in the doorway...
