Gus and I had stopped off at a relaxed style restaurant to get food before heading back to the flat and I was currently sat alone at the table while he'd gone to order for us when my phone started vibrating like crazy, to see a million '@username has tagged you in a comment' notifications from Instagram, and I honestly couldn't help but click on one of them since my curiosity was piqued.

I read his comment just as he sat back down across from me in the booth by the window we'd been placed in and looked up at him, trying to hold back the fact I was on the verge of tears, so this was the famous Layla then? And that's how she wanted to play with me?

"Baby, don't let her fuck with you." Gus could no doubt tell the post was what I'd been looking at before he'd sat back down, his hand snaked it's way across the table and found mine.

"It's just not what I'm used to, y'know okay she has maybe like, the smallest amount of right to be mad that you moved on but these other people? Your fans? Her fans? They don't even know me, what gives them the right, and why does she have to bring it online anyway? Why does anyone?" I'll be honest, the last part of that was me calling him out for using me again, but the truth was I needed answers, why did shit like this have to be played out where people who had no right to know anything could see it? Was it really just a battle of egos?

"Because they expect it of us now, the whole world does." He shrugged, as if that was somehow a logical answer but to me it wasn't.

"They can expect it, but it doesn't mean you have to play into it, you don't owe your fans anything personal." I watched his face scrunch up as he thought about what I'd said for a few moments before he spoke again.

"So if it were up to you, we wouldn't post about one another online?" His eyes caught mine, as he gestured between us with his free hand something I noticed was important to him when he was looking to prove he was serious.

"I'm not saying that, I'm just saying all the fighting and stuff seems pointless, drama is pointless, it might entertain them, but it shouldn't and if it does, then do they really care about you?" I watched for his reaction expecting some kind of argument, just like the previous morning, but it didn't happen, he just started to smile.

"You got a screwed on head for a girl who likes to get fucked up nightly." His smile turned to a grin and I rolled my eyes, I don't think he was taking my words as seriously as he could but that didn't bother me so long as we weren't fighting about it.
