"Come on." I spoke, and grabbed Lola's hand, mimicking the action that she seemed to use so flippantly though to me it had always meant so much for.

"What, where are we going?" She looked shocked as I pulled her up from the sofa, JD bottle still in hand.

"To dance and get wasted." I didn't really need to explain much after that, a spring immediately developed in her step.

"But I thought you said...?" She trailed off, I knew she didn't want to bring him back up, maybe my temper over his actions had scared her slightly? In all truth I was glad they had, at least she knew I was serious.

"He can fucking wait for me until closing for all I care." I shrugged and she smiled, seeming comforted that I was putting her first in this rather than treating her like shit, but I didn't see her as a threat, I didn't need Gus to make me happy, even if that did technically mean that once again I was homeless and didn't have a clue where I'd be sleeping once this whole thing blew up.

"I think you might be my new favourite person." She chuckled, and dragged me out of the room.
My heart pounded in my chest as we walked the maze of corridors at a quick pace, I didn't want to run into him yet, I was still unsure of how I planned to confront him, and I knew there was a darkness to him and I didn't know if that could land me in something serious, but with each step we made, the music got louder and my fears slowly subsided.

"She can't take that on the dancefloor." A bouncer looked at the bottle in my hand then to Lola as if she was nothing.

"Actually I can do whatever the fuck I want, I'm here with Peep." The uncharacteristic courage rise up from within me, but he didn't seem at all shocked by it.

"Another mouthy fuck piece, you'll be gone in a week." He rolled his eyes and opened the door to the main club for us, I could have spat something back at him, but truthfully, he probably wasn't wrong.

"Oh my god, I love this song!" Lola exclaimed as we stepped into the perimeter of the room. It sounded familiar but I wasn't completely sure I knew it. She turned back and looked at me with excitement, then noticing my confusion she explained. "HeavyDirtySoul? Twenty One Pilots? Come on you know this?" She was trying to jog my memory and it did click after a few seconds, I had a couple of songs on my phone, but not their more recent stuff.

"I know them, not this though!" I called to her over the music.

"Which song do you know?" She pulled her phone out from her bra, I didn't even remember seeing her put it there in the first place, but regardless, I looked down at her phone and she'd pulled up the notes app and passed it to me, this was a far easier way to communicate.

'car radio'

I typed, okay, I know, generic, but it meant a lot to me as a song I guess, so of course it was the first one that came to mind.
She began typing on her phone and I assumed it was her reply to me, but instead she placed her phone back where it had came from before dragging me through a sea of sweaty bodies to the center of the dancefloor and just as we got there the DJ lowered the music and spoke into his microphone catching everyone's attention.

"Okay, by request of my lovely friend Lola we have more Twenty One Pilots coming up for you guys next..." Some of the crowd around us cheered as it dawned on me that working here meant Lola had the privilege of being able to request by text, and that's exactly what she'd done, which only ignited an excited squeal from my own throat "...this is Car Radio for Venus" I jumped up and down on the spot and wrapped my arms around Lola's neck in thanks the still open JD bottle in my hand spilt slightly down her arm but she didn't seem to care.
