chapter iv - "you asshole! I confessed my feelings and this is what I get?"
Noah and I sit in the cupboard waiting for someone to pass. I hear someone running up the stairs and Noah opens the door just a crack and waits for the person to pass. I have my gun aimed through the small opening but the person never passes. Instead, I hear a gunshot from downstairs and the door opens wide and I see Finn Wolfhard standing there smirking at us.
"Well, what do we have here?" he asks wiggling his eyebrows.
"Finn! Stop, it isn't like that!" Noah shouts defensively.
"Like what?" Finn asks, pretending to be clueless.
We would've continued arguing if someone else hadn't shown up. Finn ran leaving the door to the crawlspace wide open. I hear someone coming and suddenly Chloe comes running towards the stairs. "Sorry about this love," I hear Noah say before he pushes me out of the cupboard and onto the stairs. He slams the door shut behind me. Chloe fires her nerf gun, the little foam bullets ricochet off the walls and she keeps shooting until one hits me. Chloe gives me an apologetic smile before running away.
I turn back towards the crawl space. "You asshole!" I shout pounding on the door. "I just confessed my feelings and this is what I get?"
The door opens and Noah kisses me. I didn't think that this would be how our first real kiss would go but I wasn't complaining. Unfortunately, it was over too soon out of fear of being caught. Before he closes the door again he looks at me and says, "don't worry, it's nothing personal." before slamming the door in my face.
