Chapter 3||Goodbye?

A week later

Yoongi and I sat under the tree. It was always our go to spot. To meet up,play and study.

We even carved random stuff there. Mostly insults about each other.

"Whatcha doing?"
I asked Yoongi as he flinched.

"Nothing"
He said as he hid the piece of paper he was writing on under his bag.

"Come on,tell me~"
I said continuously which made Yoongi rather annoyed.

"Fine! I've been getting into song writing lately.."
He explained as he scratches the back of his neck whilst passing me the piece of paper.

As I read the lyrics,It sounded as if it was a love song for someone.

"Awwh..There's nothing to be ashamed of.This..is really really good.Is it for someone?Does little Yoongi have a crush?"
I teased him.

"A-aniya"
He denied before smacking me in the head.

7 Months Later

It was finally time for graduation.
After all the blood,sweat and tears i put into high school ,it'll finally be over.

Me and Yoongi decided to meet each other before we head on to the graduation ceremony.

"Yoongi!Over here!"
I said as I spotted Yoongi.
I waved my hand in the air in order for him to see me.

"Y/n!We're finally graduating.WOOHOO"
He cheered as he punched the air.

"YEAHH!"

After the ceremony,our class decided to eat at a restaurant.We all had a toast and parted our ways.

The sun had set and the skies turned dark.
The street lights illuminated the way.
Yoongi and me went to the park to chill for awhile.

"I can't believe high school's over.I've enjoyed this journey."
I sighed."Yoongi-ah. Thank you for being a part of it. Though it's been less than a year, it's like you've been with me since the start."
I said as i flashed him a smile.

Yoongi smiled back and stayed silent.
"Y/n.Turn around."
He finally spoke as he gestured me to turn around.

Yoongi put a necklace around my neck.
It was a key.

"What's this?"
I asked holding the necklace.

Yoongi reached in for something hidden in his shirt and it was a lock.

He asked me to help put it on him and i did.
"Y/n,thank you too."

"Only your key can open up to this lock.Only you can open up the door to my heart,y/n.And even if we're apart,these necklaces always keep us together."
He smiled.

"W-What?Why are you being so cheesy?"

"Y/n..I like you."
He said.My eyes widened and i just stood there.

I hugged him and whispered in his ear,"I like you too"

He hugged me tighter.

"I-I'm moving to Seoul."
He said pulling away from the hug.

"What?"

"You know it's been my dream to be able to produce music."

I looked down,"So..you're leaving me?"

"No..I'll forever keep you in my heart."

Instead of being a supportive best friend.
Words of jealousy and frustration came out my mouth.

"Why.Why did you just decide to tell me NOW?"

"..y/n.."
He said whilst looking down.

"Why didn't you tell me?We could've..you know what..nevermind..just..Goodbye.."

Yoongi POV

Her words pierced through my heart.

She ran towards the direction of the road and crossed the road without looking out for that car.

The car lights flashed and there was a car horn to warn her.

But it was too late.
She got hit.

I ran to her as fast as i could.

"Y/n!Y/N!Wake up!Someone call the ambulance!Stay with me please!"
I hugged her as she laid unconscious on my lap.

Once we reached the hospital,i called her parents.

5 minutes later

Footsteps.

"Y/n?Where's my daughter?"
I looked up and saw y/n's parents.

I immediately stood up and bowed.
Instead,her father took me by my shirt collar.

"What happened to my daughter?!"
I couldn't do anything but look down.
So did y/n's mother.

"If anything happens to my precious daughter!It's going to be all your fault!"
He let go of my collar.

After what seemed like an eternity,The doctor came out of the operating room.

"Mr and Mrs Han?"

"Correct."
Y/n's father stood up.

"Y/n suffered severe head injuries but minor brain injuries.She will be put in a cast for her right leg and will be suspended from physical activities for 2 months or so.But.."
The doctor hesitated.

"But..there's a very high chance she'll lose her memories."

I looked to the doctor,widened eyes.

"So she might not be able to remember us?"
I asked the doctor.

"Yes.There also is a way to bring back her memories.It's just to do basic therapy.Just spend time with her and her memories might come back.Now would you excuse me."

I stared into the ground in shock.

"You."
Mr Han pointed at me.

"Don't ever try being near my daughter"

He walked past me while Mrs Han mouthed "Im so sorry,dear."

I went home and laid on my bed.

I'm never going to see her again.
Its all my fault.

I clutched the lock necklace in my hands and closed my eyes.

I guess this is Goodbye.
