The next day, we woke up, and drove the truck down the street. We looked at our map, and it said that it was day 11, and we only had a few days left before the storm would complete the cycle, and detonate in the center. We all knew that we had to get to the center in time. We drove down rural roads, stopping an hour later to refill gas, and grab more food. We noticed that on our map was the city square, which we knew would be filled with the biggest crowd in Detroit. According to the police scanner that Gary took with him, he said that about millions of people are dead, and only a few thousand left alive. About a thousand of them were centered in the middle, where they are protesting, fighting, and demanding that the military let them out of this hellhole.

Gary then tells the group, "We are now approaching the city square,  so get your gear out, because these people are the most populated remainders of the city." The men got out of the truck and approached the crowd. The crowd was protesting the city, and were trying to get through the nearest base. On the road, there was a camp, which looked like the biggest one yet. There were soldiers standing near the front wall, with the barbed wire fences. We all looked as ten men charged the area, in which all were gunned down. We stood at the back, and made a plan. After that, we went on with it. The sergeant took a smoke grenade that we had gathered, and threw it near the tree. During the time, I tied the Mac-10 to the tree, and loaded a large round. The round was supposed to distract them, and since it is longer, it gave us three minutes to sneak around. As all the soldiers ran towards the MAC-10, all of us ran to the other side. We grabbed a truck with a machine gun on it, and took it back to the truck. As the soldiers realized that it was a diversion, they went back, thinking, 'What was the point?'

We took the jeep back to our truck and made some modifications. We took some steel from the nearby junkyard, and covered it entirely. With the remaining steel, Gary told me, "I've always wanted to plow through things..." I nodded my head, and made a plow on the front of the jeep. It looked epic. Gary wanted to drive, and the rest took the holes in the steel to shoot. So, we shot a revolver up in the air, and everyone moved aside. The soldiers first looked confused, but then they saw the mini-gun attached to the top. I plowed through the first 20 soldiers in the front, as the entire crowd rushed towards them. After a while, I had to duck down, because five mini-guns were used to plow the rest of the civilians down. Hundreds of them were falling down due to the fire, but as they came back, many soldiers were shot dead too. Once the mini-guns were empty, we continued to move on. Many of them stepped on land mines that killed them. Once the outer circle of the base was destroyed only thirty men were left. They all gathered the items from the dead civilians, and moved on. The officers threw gas bombs to cover us, as the men kept moving on, and shooting them. Ten men were killed by a sentry in the base, which was the biggest threat. He had been designed in December of 2019, and now really deadly. We needed another plan.

I turned over to one of the dead men, that worked at the marines. He had a scuba helmet, Kevlar, and a harpoon. The harpoon gave me an idea. I went down, picked it up, and took it in. the sentry detected me, and started shooting at the jeep. I told Gary really quick, "When I fire this at the robot, go in full reverse". Gary nodded excitedly, and went to the driver's seat. I went up and yelled, "Hey ugly, ready for an oil change?" The robot turned to me, and was about to shoot. I fired the harpoon, and Gary quickly reversed. Everyone was startled, as we went back. After the robot resisted, his head went flying off. Gary then said, "Everyone hold on, because we are going back!" He then slowly went towards the command center, as the men readied the C4.

The command center was the heaviest guarded place on this camp. Only the commander was to go in, with his ten guards. We then saw as the last protester went in. He had the best Civilian armor he could find, but even then, he was shot down in an instant. We then noticed he wore a suicide vest to blow a way for us. After a hole was blown in the side, we quickly rammed the torn wall, and went inside. We killed about thirty men, before the area was clear to step out. The men quickly grabbed the military vests, and helmets, as we switched for better guns, gear, and equipment. We put flashlights on our helmet to distinguish each other, because we did not want to hide in plain sight, we wanted to go in, and clear a path for the truck. The last person who waited in the truck, was waiting for the flare to go up. There was a flare in the command center in case it was destroyed. So, four helicopters got out of the ground to search for any survivors. The team got the guns, and started plowing through all the soldiers that came to us. It took us about fifteen minutes to get through the first defense, but then we got inside the center. We turned the flashlights on, and took out the mini-gun.

Since it was the last round, we kept some C-4 so that after we emptied the round, we could use it to blow the vault door, which the commander was kept in. Gary spotted about ten men guarding the vault outside, but we did not know how many were inside. I then whistled, and fired the mini-gun. The solders quickly died, and there was about 3/4  of the round left. We decided to use it to try and destroy the vault, but it kept steady. After half the round was left, we decided to just take the magazine out, and place the C4 on the door. We blew inside, and used the remaining half of the round to take out the soldiers waiting for us.

We saw the next vault door that came on the other side. The commander was probably in that vault. With only C4 left in the jeep, we decided to do the only thing we could do, ram the door. So, Gary took the jeep, and rammed straight through the door. The commander then said, "Kill all of them!" The soldiers then emptied their guns, and did nothing to the jeep. "Wow, I did not know it would hold this much." Gary saw the commander get into his helicopter, and went to the flare. I then told him, "Use it to kill the commander, and signal the sergeant". Gary then pulled the lever, destroying the commander's helicopter, falling on the rest of the crowd. The sergeant stepped out of the truck, as he saw explosions from the command center. "They did it." he said, "They did it".

The sergeant then drove past the command center, and saw how the path was demolished. We then told him, to get some gear, because it will protect him better. So then, we drove along, going towards the center, as the storm moved towards us.
