-KASEY'S POV-

Nervous was an understatement to what I was feeling right now. I was sweating buckets. First, I'm going to be in a car, alone, with Brad and secondly, I'll be meeting his friends. Way to make a girl pee her pants.

Thankfully mom agreed to me going with Brad since she was under his charm. She'll be going to court next week to finalize the divorce with dad. Luckily they have agreed not to fight over my custody.

I have packed everything enough for two weeks. I pulled up my hair in a side ponytail and wore a tight black sleeveless crop top revealing my pale skin. I also wore faded blue jeans and finished off with black comfortable high heels boots.

I took a last glance of my outfit before carrying my luggage down the stairs. I have never felt the need to impress a guy until I met Brad.

Mom was standing next to the kitchen counter going throw some papers. She snapped her head up when she heard me come down the stairs.

"You look beautiful honey" mom said with a huge grin on her face.

"Thank you mom" I smilled more to myself thinking that Brad will also like it."Hey, what have you got there" I pointed at the papers.

And I instantly regretted asking. That must have been the divorce papers and I knew how sensitive mom got when it came to the divorce. But to my surprise her grin grew bigger.

"Well..." She trailed off with a playful smile on her face and her eyes glittering with happiness.

Her smile was infectious that a smile of my own tagged on my lips. This was the first time I've seen her this happy in weeks and it made me happy.

"Well...?" I mimicked her.

"I'm opening a restaurant" her eyes grew bigger with happiness as a chuckle escaped her lips.

Though dad was the bread winner in the house. Mom had her own fortunes. Her side of the family was loaded with money.

I dropped my luggage and pulled my mom into a hug. "I'm so happy for you mom" I said against her hair.

Although I was a little jealous I was going to have to share my mom's food with the rest of the town. I knew this would help mom heal from the divorce.

"I was thinking of the names that I could call the restaurant and I think The extravaganzas would be great or-or A taste of heaven" she said pulling away from my embrace and jumping up and down like a child on Christmas.

I chuckled a little at her choice of names. "Don't you think they are a little...extreme?"

"I know, I'm just so excited I don't know what to call it." mom said moving back to her papers looking through some scratched out designs.

"How about..." I placed a finger on my chin thinking of something she'd like.

"Yeah?" mom asked sounding a little hesitant.

What I came up with was classy, simple, short and original.

"How about Regina's?" I said hoping mom would like it.

"Honey its-"

Mom was interrupted by a knock on the door. I think it must've been Brad. I was frozen in my spot and mom must've noticed because she went to open up the door for Brad who looked yummy in his white shirt, dark jeans and white sneakers. He didn't even try, but he looked like a model.

"Ready to go?" he snapped me out from checking him out.

"Yes" My voice came out sounding breathless. So much for trying to keep calm.
