-BRAD'S POV-
"Whatever, Want to dance gorgeous? " The little preck ended our argument by asking Kasey to dance with him. I felt like I was his father sometimes, but I had to protect him. Excluding aunt Martha, Mario was the only family I had and he didn't even know that.
Kasey looked at me unsure if she should accept his offer, but I just shrugged in response.
I watched as they took the dance floor and the glitter of happiness in both their eyes made me smile. This is how I wanted to see Mario, happy.
I wonder how things would've turned out if that bastard would've made the right choices. He denied Mario the happiness he deserved. He didn't only rip his life- well, lives apart, but he also tore Mario's life, my life...our lives apart. I wonder how my relationship as Mario's-
"Feeling lonely babes?" My thoughts got interrupted as my entire body tensed at the touch of her hands on my shoulders. "Need some..." she paused for a moment leaning in next to my ear "...entertainment?" The word rolled off her tongue seductively.
I turned around to face the little pink devil. Surely looks can be deserving and I knew that better than anyone when it came to her.
"What do you want Amber?" I asked bitterly saying her name like it was some kind of disease.
She let out a laugh at my rudeness. A sound that once sounded like joy to my ears now irritated me to the point that it almost made my ears bleed.
"What happened to being called baby? Honey? Love?" She asked clearly amused by my anger "Do you remember Brad? Do you? "
"Cut the crap and just leave me alone." I said through tight gritted teeth clinging my fists that I felt the blood circulation in my palms get cut off.
"Okay okay." She held up her hands in surrunder. "I need to talk to you, but we can't talk here."
"Why would I want to talk to you?" A bitter laugh broke out of me. That wasn't even something to consider. I didn't want her anywhere near me.
"You need to know why I did it." And with that my head had second thoughts. I hesitated a little and when I looked at her I saw her. The Amber I once fell for. The sweet girl that had my head spinning, but I wasn't going to fall for that crap again.
"I don't want to know" I said battling with my curiosity.
"I know you want to know. You have to know. " she pleaded and I guess she was right. I needed to know why she did it. I needed some sort of clarity.
"Follow me." I turned on my heels leading her towards the stairs giving in to her.We went into the room I shared with Kasey.
"Okay make it quick" I comanded crossing my arms across my chest.
"Hey you could at least try to be a little sensitiv-"
"Your time is running out" I cut her off.
"Okay okay" she held her hands up in surrender walking up to the bed and making herself comfortable. I just stood in my spot watching her every move.
"I was scared. " she huffed out a heavy sigh shifting uncomfortably in her spot. "I didn't know what to do, I mean we were both young and I just didn't want to put the burden over you."
"What a minute, the burden? BURDEN?" I couldn't believe my ears right now. How could she turn the tables like that and act like I was the bad guy here, but then again she was good at turning tables.
"Okay Brad! The baby! There, I said it! How in the hell were we going to take care of a kid while we were just kids ourselves? I did what was best for us!" She blew off on me standing from the bed.
