Shadow has actually told you that he doesn't need sleep, he doesn't need it like he doesn't need food, or water, he was scientifically created after all... but that didn't stop him from laying down with you and make sure you felt safe in his arms at night.
Waking up in the middle of the night doesn't make anyone happy... mostly when it's something so simple, but can be the key to another three hours of benging shows. The need to go to the bathroom. The difficulty here was that Shadow has been getting a little more clingy at night and will have your back flat against his chest with an arm caging you in. Yep; you had to go ninja on escaping this, highly comfortable, lovable, and relaxing grip of Shadow's; whom doesn't like showing PDA... You can feel the imaginary tears down your face when you wiggled your way out of his arm and his reach. He made the slightest groan whilst patting where you once were. Having a slight panic you caught his hand as it about to hit your thigh and placed it into his pillow. You let out a sigh as he grumbled and repositioned himself.

You let out a small sigh, relief that he was getting sleep, before laying down yourself. You positioned yourself to face him as you held his hand. Closing your eyes you let out a quiet "I love you", only to feel a squeeze on your hand bringing you to open your eyes again, to be met with the color of rubies, "I love you too, now rest" Yeah; he woke up once you mumbled "Ninja mode" when escaping his arms. But hey, at least you got a kiss on the forehead when going back to sleep.
