Mephiles is always awake once Amilon or yourself wakes up. It sometimes seems that he didn't even sleep for the night; which sadly is true on rare occasions. Amilon and yourself had to bond Mephiles to the bed one time so he'd get sleep. He was annoyed beyond belief, but he hadn't slept in six days and Amilon had enough of a strangely monotone, sometime giddy dark hedgehog.
You woke up being the only living being in the room. It was so silent it scared you a little... You stood and shivered a little as your bare feet touched the ground; you'd have to remember to tell Mephiles to get a carpet.
You left the room after getting dressed into some nice, but comfortable. There was no way you'd ever be one of those people that got dressed like you were going to prom in the morning and then not leave the house. You'd rather relax with Mephiles.
After passing by the main room; you could tell Mephiles and Amilon were already awake. Why? Because Amilon had his chains blocking the entrance to the kitchen, whilst Mephiles was always the first one up.
After wrestling with the chains a bit you got into the kitchen to see Amilon had made breakfast and was now placing everything on the table; he simply sent you a small glare for moving the chains. Shrugging, you opened your mouth to ask where Mephiles was; only to have Amilon move his hands in a weird way...
... A sigh left Amilon as he stopped placing breakfast, "Mephiles is outside; really (Y/n), you should learn sign language."
Nodding, grinning, and speed-walking out of the room before Amilon threw a waffle at you all happened pretty quickly, but you made your way to the front of the castle.
Mephiles had a habit of sitting on the stairs when he wakes up. He'll stay there too if it weren't for Amilon and yourself nagging him to have breakfast with the you two.
So, when you opened the door, it wasn't much of a surprise to see him sitting on the stairs

You could tell that this was a way to calm himself before the day is in full bloom; so you simply went back inside, got Amilon and had him carry the breakfast over, and sat on either side of Mephiles.
The three of you just stared into the strange void. Mephiles had made it were if you pass the void, you'd appear in your attic/basement, but if he passes it; he'd appear somewhere in the the park's forest. Amilon? Well, he hasn't left the castle, yet.
