"Excuse me, you're my what?" Nathan stared at the old man for a few seconds.

"Oh I'm sorry, dear boy. Let me just- Where's the damn thing? Oh, here it is." The man pulled out a white stick and waved it at his rags. With glitter and sparkles, his dark rags turned into a white tuxedo.

"Let me reintroduce myself." The man bowed slightly to Nathan. " I, am your fairy godfather."

"Oh, my God." Nathan mouth was ajar. He couldn't believe it. A real fairy godfather. He could barely believe it.

"Now. We have no time to waste."

"But my stepfather said-" the fairy godfather blew a raspberry before Nathan could say anything.

"Your step father can take a long walk off a short cliff. Now hurry along, Nathan. Do you have any fruits. A watermelon, perhaps?"

"We have pumpkins... will that work?" Nathan questioned.

"Yes, yes. Now, quickly we have no time to waste." The pair raced to the greenhouse in search for a big enough pumpkin.

"Is this big enough?"

"Yes, yes it is now bring it outside. Onto the path." The Fairy Godfather pulled out his wand and waved it around a bit. "Now what were those words again? Oh yes, Bibbidi Bobbidi boo!" A stream of white sparkles hit the pumpkin. Nothing happened for a while. In fact, nothing happened for another 2 minutes but, all in one go, the pumpkin turned into a golden carriage.

"Now, we need some horses and coachmen.... hmmm." The Fairy Godfather looked at the floor and saw the mice and lizards at Nathan's feet. "Bingo." He looked at the lizards and mice and raised his wand at them. With the words that rolled off his tongue, the mice turned into horses and lizards to coachmen.

"Pinch me. I'm just dreaming, aren't I?" Nathan whispered.

"You can't be dreaming else I'd be dreaming too," The Godfather whispered back. "Now, back to work. We have no time to waste!"

"Come on, Nathan. Get in," The  Godfather cried. "No time to lose."

"But wait, I can't wear this!" Nathan paused. His clothes were still ripped from earlier. He possibly couldn't... he possibly can't.

"Okay okay fine... would you want something new?"

"I can't wear something new. This was my father's and I would like to wear it to the ball.

"I see... Would he mind if I updated the colour? Maybe a nice sky blue?" Nathan shook his head in agreement. "Alright." The Godfather cleared his throat. "Bibbidi Bobbidi boo." A slow wave of blue butterflies drifted their way towards Nathan. They fluttered around him until they attached themselves onto the now sky blue suit. Nathan looked at his new outfit and gasped. His outfit was... beyond great! It was.. dashing... wondrous...spectacular! Words weren't enough to describe how Nathan was feeling right now.

"In, in, in!" The Fairy Godfather cried. Nathan jumped into the carriage. "Wait! Let me see your hands." The Fairy Godfather looked at Nathan's gloves, they were all dirty from everything that had happened in the past hour or so. "Have you no better ones?" Nathan bit his lip. He had no better ones to wear. The Godfather held Nathan's hands and whispered some words and let go.

"Silk." Nathan admired as he waved his hands around.

"Now, Nathan. Listen to my words very carefully. This magic is not forever. As soon as the clock strikes midnight, the magic will fade away and everything will return to it's original state. Do not forget."

"I won't." Nathan smiled. The coachmen took the reigns off the horses in their hands and so Nathan began his journey to the palace. "Thank you!" Nathan yelled as the carriage picked up it's pace.
