"Nathan, we're here." The coachman on the left called.
"A-Already? I don't think I'm ready, Mr Lizard."
"I'm sure you're ready, Nathan." He replied back. Nathan smiled at the coachman. This night was already going amazingly, Nathan was almost absolute sure that nothing could destroy this feeling of ecstasy. He stepped out of the carriage but paused before taking another step. What if I'm making a big mistake? I might not fit in amongst everyone there.
Nathan took a deep breath, attempting to clear his mind of the anxiety that was hitting him like a bus.
Let's do this.----
He looked down from the balcony of the palace. Even though this castle was in view and it didn't make its way into monarchy history, it was astoundingly huge. This was nothing like he's seen or heard from others around town. Nathan knew he was late as he could hear the musicians playing their hearts out in hall. He decided he had to keep on moving before the anxiety hit him harder than ever before. He twisted and turned all around to castle until he reached the stairs to main hall where everyone else was. He peeped his head around the corner.
"This... is... grand." Nathan whispered to himself. Everyone was dancing, swaying to the rhythm of the cellos and violins. Conversations were happening on the edges while people were scoffing their faces with chocolates and sweets of every kind. Of course this wasn't royal etiquette but then again, it's not everyday common men and women get to experience the time of their lives in the Royal Palace.
"Alright... let's do this..." Nathan dusted away any sort of dirt, creases or imperfections that were visible on his blue suit. He adjusted his gloves and stepped out onto the first step.----
Sebastian was tired of being introduced. Prince of there, Princess of that, the something of Canada and the whoever of Malaysia. It was boring. He wanted to see him.
"Oh, do cheer up, Sebastian. I'm sure you'll find someone soon." His father told his tired son. "Look. Why not dance with the Duchess of India? She looks keen." Sebastian sighed and stood up. One dance with some girl would be fine, wouldn't it? He had been sitting down for about 2 hours on that uncomfortable throne.
"Shall I have this dance, Duchess Rasheera?" He took her hand and placed a kiss on it. With no words, she smiled and curtsied in response. They stepped their way onto the ballroom floor. Everyone around them stepped away to leave a circle for the couple to dance. The musicians started the music up again and so the couple danced. To everyone watching they thought she was the one but in the end, the dance that Sebastian shared with Rasheera was just to stop his boredom. He didn't want this dance to last long and so he finished the dance up quickly, bowed to the Duchess and left to get a drink. It was at this moment that he saw everyone was looking at the stairs and whispering. Sebastian soon enough turned around and his mouth fell open. It was him. The stranger he adored. The stranger he felt deep lust for. Nathan made his way down the steps. He placed his drink down on the table and made his way through the crowd.
"Who is that?"
"Is he a duke?"
"He couldn't be duke, he's a prince I tell you!"
Sebastian overheard all these comments but he couldn't care less. After pushing through the assembly of people, he was now face to face with his true love.
"I... err..." Nathan stuttered. He was blushing so hard. Social events wasn't his strongest point but he had some form of social skills. This moment was putting his abilities to the test.
"You look... I think you're... may I have this dance." Sebastian breathed out and reached out his arm for Nathan to take a hold of. Nathan bowed in his presence.
"You may."Hey guys! I trying to be consistent with my writing now so I gonna try update every week. I've already started the next part but I hope it goes great.
