The morning of the Sports Festival, Nikita woke feeling more rested than she'd felt all week but still a little groggy. She shook out her unruly raven hair and changed into a pair of gym shorts and an over-sized hooded sweatshirt. Due to her quirk she was given permission to wear her costume during the festival but she had to pick it up from the school. She swiped a can of tuna from the cupboard and ate it in a hurry before slipping on a pair of shoes. As she was about to head out the door she paused and turned to a hanging photograph on the wall next to her. Her parents' smiling faces greeted her, it was a picture she'd taken of them a few months before they had died, she'd made them take a break from taking care of her and working and sent them on a date.

"Miss you guys." With a heavy heart, she stepped out of her apartment and locked the door behind her. She turned around and her eyes widened as she spotted Craven leaning against the railing across from her door. "Good Morning."

Craven smiled, "Come on, I'm giving you a ride."

"Huh? But-."

"It's alright, I told Jace I'd give him a ride too." Craven shrugged and steered her toward the steps.

Jace? She thought back to the card she'd received Jace was in apartment three. As they made their way down the stairs Nikita spotted a boy about her age wearing the UA gym uniform. He went to her school? How had she never bumped into him before? Was he not in the hero course?

"Ready, Jace?" Craven called over to the boy, startling him in the process and causing him to let out a, not very manly, yelp.

Contrary to his built and somewhat intimidating appearance, Jace appeared to be quite spineless. He was tall, looked like he worked out a lot, had rust colored hair and two grey curved horns poking out of his head giving him a somewhat demonic appearance. His eyes were a piercing titanium silver color with faint black rings around them. He took one look at the petite cat like girl and squeaked.

Nikita looked to Craven curiously, "Am I that scary?"

Craven chuckled, "Jace has a phobia of cats."

"Ah. Sorry." Nikita pulled her hood up to cover her ears and tucked her tail into her sweatshirt. "Better?"

Jace nodded, "S-sorry, I heard about your quirk from the others and have been too afraid to introduce myself." He had a deep masculine voice making his terrified behavior quite comical.

"Don't worry about it." Nikita smiled politely as she followed Jace and Craven to Craven's convertible.

"Do you need to sit up front, I know you said you don't like transportation..." Craven looked to the cat girl.

"It doesn't matter where I sit, I still won't like it." Nikita giggled, "And it's probably better for Jace if I'm out of sight." She shrugged as she slid into the back seat.

"Sorry." Jace bowed his head.

Craven put the top down so Jace's horns wouldn't hit the roof before heading for the driver's side. "I guess it makes sense you two haven't met yet, since you leave ridiculously early and don't take the train and your both in different courses."

"Oh, what course are you in?" Nikita asked Jace curiously as they headed in the direction of the school.

"General Studies, I wanted to be in the hero course, but I fainted during the practical part of the exam." Jace admitted with a blush.

"Oh, sorry. What happened?"

"The robot was too scary." Jace bowed his head.

"You ran in to the zero pointer, right off the bat? That's terrible luck." Nikita grimaced sympathetically, it was pretty terrifying.
