MIDORIYA
My head feels like it was shaken in a lava lamp.
What time is it? Wait, what day is it? The last thing I remember was-Dabi and Almight. They-
I jolted upright and looked around me. I was in my room.
I assessed my body and frowned at how tight and sore it was, but it was mobile. Tossing the covers aside I shoved my feet into my slippers and hurried to the kitchen
My mother was humming softly to herself while she cooked.
"Mom?" I called.
She turned and flashed a brilliant smile and hugged me close.
"Izuku, you have finally awoken. The more you work on that quirk, the more you pass out. It worries me. You've missed three days of school." She frowned.
"Three days! Whaaaaa!" I clapped my hands over my head and grabbed my hair.
"Don't worry, your friends have been bringing over your assignments so you don't fall behind. They wish for a speedy recovery." She smiled brightly.
"Oh, okay thank you." I nodded.
"I have to work a double tonight, will you be alright by yourself?" My mother asked looking worried.
I knew she was worried about making rent and paying for groceries. She still won't let me get a part time job either. She wants me to focus on becoming the best hero I can be.
I rubbed my arm feeling guilty and nodded.
"Okay, I cooked you some lunch and your dinner is in the microwave. There's plenty of snacks. Make sure to finish all of your work before you go anywhere and lock the door sweetheart. I love you." She hugged me close as if she would never see me again.
I hugged her back just as fiercly.
"I love you too." I forced a smile.
Once she had gone I plopped onto the sofa forgetting about my hunger and my homework.
What happened between Dabi and All Might? What happened while I was out of it for three days?
I pondered and puzzled until my head hurt. I padded to the fridge and poured myself a glass of orange juice.
I tapped my fingers on the counter rhythmically. It sounded farther away than it should have been.
"Wait a minute." I listened carefully and could still hear a light rapping.
I followed the sound to the front door.
Someones knocking? Who could it be?
I opened the door and on the other side stood Dabi. He looked like his usual self. No injuries to speak of. He was leaning casually against the wall with his foot propped up behind him. His hands in their usual hiding place of his pockets.
"D-Dabi? What are you doing here?" I stepped back in surprise. He didn't answer. He just crossed his arms over his chest and arched a brow in my direction.
The look he gave me spread a wave of heat through my entire body.
I glanced down and blushed furiously as I realised I was wearing only my briefs and a white t-shirt that was just a little too small and flashed my midriff.
"Cute." He chuckled stepping past me. I felt my cheeks burn as he stepped into my living room. I closed the door.
I have so many questions.
