When the windows shattered in the dinning hall Greg's first thought was to hit the deck. But Joe's arm pressed against his collar bone wasn't allowing much movement. Greg watched as a large dark figure flew in and crashed onto the floor. Joe released him in an instant to turn around and see for himself what was going on. All around the dinner table everyone was getting up from there chairs, just as the figure began to move.

Greg's eyes went wide as the new creature began to get to it's feet. Even from a distance Greg still heard the deep rumble of a growl coming from the beast. A fiery red cable-like tube was attached to the creature's shoulder blades, only when it began to curl around the creature's hind legs did Greg see that it was a tail. The thing was covered in glistening indigo colored fur that was almost black. Greg studied the creature's face and saw that it had no lips whatsoever, revealing a row of jagged looking teeth that were gleaming with slobber. Where there should have been eyes, all Greg saw were two white spots outlined in black. The creature took a step forward and everyone, even the wounded Sixx was visibly bracing themselves.

Ryan moved in front of the creature forming a wall between them and the dog-like creature with his own body. "What purpose does a hound of hell have here?" He demanded in as firm a voice that greg had ever heard.

The big dog took one look at Ryan before straightening up to it's full height. Even though it was on all fours, the dog's shoulder easily reached the height of Ryan's heart. It let out another throaty growl before-much to Greg's shock and horror-it spoke.

"I want the boy," It said in a deep and raspy voice. "Give me the boy now, or I'll kill you all and take him anyway."

Ryan paused for a moment before he replied. "Get out."

"You misunderstand human," the dog said taking a menacing step foreward. "This isn't a request."

"Neither is what I said." Ryan said sounding completely unaffected by the dog's threat. "Now get out of my house."

"I'm going to enjoy this," the dog said crouching down ready to spring. But the sight of Sonya, Flannery, and Sixx moving beside Ryan made it think twice. Greg was so caught up in whas happening he hadn't noticed that Joe had vanished. "So it's true what he said. A man who claims himself a Devil hunter, lets mere children fight for him."

"What who said?" Ryan asked taking a step forward. "What're you talking about?"

Greg's eyes flew to the left for some reason and he made out another one of the big dog lurking in the shadows, as well as one on the opposite side of the room. They looked like they were waiting for something, an order to attack maybe? Whatever it was the probably weren't going to wait long, and no one else seemed to notice.

Ignoring the growing lump in his throat Greg shouted out. "On your sides!"

Everyone glanced at him for a moment just before all three dogs sprinted at the group. The dog that spoke crashed into Ryan, sending him to the ground. Sixx grabbed a chair from the table and swung with all his might, breaking the chair on the the dog that came from the right. Sonya on the other hand, along with Flannery, was trying to keep the last dog away with a broken coat rack.

Greg watched as the skirmish continued, before getting up and moving to help the girls. He reached out for the dog with his ungloved hand but missed the dog by a mile. It drew back slightly though at the sight of his exposed hand, but it lunged again getting behind him a dragging Greg to the floor by his shirt. Greg twisted and kicked at the dog's head, scoring a lucky kick to it's throat. To his amazement though the dog seemed like it didn't even feel the blow.

It was about to go after him again but there was the sound of something igniting, and suddenly there was what looked like a flaming snake lashing at the dog before him. Greg looked back and saw Flannery twirling a whip covered in flames, again it lashed out with a flick of her wrist and caught the dog that Greg was wrestling with flush on the face. It reared back before running away from the flames and escaping through the window. Greg looked over to Sixx just as the boy plunged a blade deep into the dogs ribcage.
