[ 3.1 | TATTOO ]
DAISY SAT IN the back of Stiles's jeep with her phone held above her knees. She had expected to receive a text from Isaac some time throughout the day, but she had not heard anything from him since the night before. Although, that was not uncommon. The couple sometimes went a day or two without talking. They were not the couple that had to be attached to their significant other's hip. They had their own lives and were content with not talking every second of everyday.
But, that time had been different. Isaac claimed that he had to do something important for Derek regarding Erica and Boyd. The two teenagers went missing the same night Gerard tried to kill them all for the sake of getting the bite from Derek. The Alpha searched the entire town for them, but so far he found no sign that they were even alive. Isaac, being the man's last remaining Beta, had to help him look for his fellow pack-mates, much to Daisy's dismay.
It was not that she did not want to find Erica and Boyd, she did, but she did not want Isaac to get hurt or go missing himself. Something must have gone wrong, Daisy knew that. She knew that Isaac had being keeping something from her the entire summer, but she chose not to pressure him about it. Now, she regretted that decision.
"Nah, we agreed to give each other the summer –no texts, no calls." Scott explained, after Stiles asked him about whether or not he had talked to Allison throughout the last few months.
"So then how do you know she won't be back at school then?" Stiles questioned, stopping the vehicle when the approached a red light.
"After everything that happened, I'm not sure she's coming back at all." Scott stated.
Stiles glanced back at Daisy in the rearview mirror. "Maybe Daisy can contribute to the conversation, that is, if she can get her nose out of her phone long enough to talk."
Daisy slowly lifted her gaze from the unlit screen in her hands. "What is there contribute? Scott said that he didn't know if Allison is coming back. It's not like I've talked to her."
"What?" Stiles turned to stare at her in disbelief. "You've been buddy-buddy with Lydia since the start of summer, and you want me to believe you haven't talked to Allison at least once?"
Daisy shrugged placing her phone into the front pocket of her jean shorts. "Well, I haven't." She shifted her gaze to the right side of the jeep and peered out the window. Her eyes landed on a familiar car with the strawberry blonde owner behind the wheel. The thing that surprised her was the dark haired passenger. "But, I do know that she's back."
