[ 3.3 | FIREFLIES ]
DAISY'S HEART nearly burst when no word was heard from Scott after the call ended. Stiles proceeded to tap their friend's contact again and again with no answer each and every time. Daisy took to running her hands through her loose hair she pulled from her ponytail, hoping that Scott was alright and that nothing bad had happened to him. Peter stood by, entirely too calm by the situation, which infuriated Daisy to no end.
Almost half an hour later, Scott finally contacted them and revealed that Boyd and Cora, Derek's long lost sister, attacked them and then escaped the vault after someone tried to seal them in with Mountain Ash. Unfortunately, Isaac had been right and Erica was found dead inside the abandoned building. Everything with their plan had gone so wrong, and it only seemed to get worse as the night continued.
Boyd and Cora disappeared from the bank and into the surrounding Beacon Hills Preserve under the influence of the full moon. They were more savage and bloodthirsty than they ever would have been on a regular full moon, most likely wanting to maim or kill anyone that crossed their path. Scott and Derek had to catch and contain them before something like that happened, which was not even remotely easy under the circumstances.
While the werewolf hunt was underway, Daisy and Stiles were requested for something else. The Fulton girl received a call from a frantic Lydia. The strawberry blonde found herself at the public pool and discovered a dead body. Daisy and Stiles rushed from Derek's loft to the scene, hoping to figure out if the person had been killed by the runaway werewolves.
"Lydia? Lydia?" Daisy shoved through the metal gate and rushed over the concrete pathway that lined the square pool illuminated by the glowing rock in the sky. She moved faster when she found the strawberry blonde next to the lifeguard tower, hugging her green jacket to her body.
Stiles was hot on her heels, appeared at the Martin girl's side before her. "Lydia, are you okay?" He asked her.
Lydia nodded. "I'm okay." She spoke, not really meeting their eyes. "That, over there..." She pointed in the direction of the large white chair at the end of the pool. "Not okay."
Daisy followed her friend's extended hand and cringed at the sight. The body of teenage boy laid across the raised seat, his head hanging over the side with his throat sliced open, pouring blood down his neck and the legs of the chair to pool on the ground. "Yeah, you're right. That is definitely not okay."
"Yeah, alright." Stiles looked over at the body and began to grab for his phone in his jacket pocket. "I'm gonna call my dad."
"I already called 911." Lydia said to stop him.
