Erwin x Reader

You were standing in front of the big wooden door, hesitating to knock. What if he was too busy, or he had a major paper to do, and it would be bad if you disturbed. But you got to tell him. That's what everyone thinks you should do.

Your hand rose up to knock, but fell back down.

"Ugh... I can't do it..." you quietly whispered to yourself.

And you stood on one spot in front of the door, struggling. Is this really worth it?

Your knuckles hit the rough and warm wood, and a familiar voice called, "Come in!"

Your heart increased it's speed, and you tried to keep your cheeks from being extremely red colour.

"U-um... Captain Smith?" you asked quietly, peeking your head out of the doorway.

You saw a soft smile on his lips, "Hi, _______! Come in, take a seat!"

His gaze moved from you to the table in the corner that had some decorated wood boxes and a plain white teapot.

"Sorry, I don't have any tea right now, but I do have a couple of cookies left..."

He looked back at you. "______, why are you hiding behind the door?"

You unintentionally hid even more at his comment.

"_____, come out, you know that I don't bite..." he chuckled, standing up and walking towards the door with urprising swiftness, as a stick on the calm water of the lake in the early morning when birds just started to chirp.

"I-I..." you stuttered, "I..."

 Erwin opened the door widely, inviting you in.

You couldn't make a move, paralysed by what you are going to say, but the knot of fear that you could be rejected made it even harder to speak.

Then you heard it, a voice, usually loud, hard, and cold, now was calling with unusuall softness. 

"I..." you took a deep breath.

"I l-love you, Er-Erwin" you stuttered out as you felt your cheeks heat up to the point you can fry pancakes on them. 

Muscular arms wrapped around you, holding you, and not letting go. Your ears caught a whisper, "I love you too, ______."
