The sunlight peeked through my curtains as I crept around, trying to keep as quiet as possible. I'd awoken to the sound of Mrs Carver screaming at her cats for I'm guessing ripping her curtains once again I could only imagine. Dad was padded out on the sofa, of course he was, an ash tray by his side and an empty bottle under his arm. I'd doubt he would remember that I actually was leaving today, of course it probably would have slipped his mind. I closed my trunk, sighing quietly as I turned to looo at Achilles sat on my bed, staring at me closely.
"It's rude to stare at people." I whispered as I walked over to the tabby cat, scooping him into my arms and smiling down at him as he rubbed his face against mines. I placed him back down on the bed and walked over to my wand which was sat on my bedside, I held it in my hand as I picked up the rest of the books i needed, placing them in my backpack, closing it over. A chill made it's way down my spine as the doorbell rang and I quietly rushed down the stairs, opening it to the wide smile of Arthur Weasley.
"Mr Weasley, what are you doing here?" I asked him confused as he stepped into the house, looking through to the living room to see my dad asleep on the couch, i frowned as his smile faltered.
"Molly asked me to come collect you before we meet up with everyone, so run along and get your stuff, we'll take the floo network to the leaky cauldron where everyone is." he ushered me up the steps and I nodded quickly, going to gather my things, I managed to carry my trunk down the steps before Arthur took it from me and looked back into the living room. "You better say goodbye to your dad, he may panic if he wakes up and you aren't here, I'll go to the dining room." I smiled sadly and slowly made my way over to my dad, shaking him gently as I grabbed a blanket.
"Mr Weasley is taking me to the train station now, I'll write to you when I can." I placed the blanket over my dad and he blinked slowly, looking up at me with sadly smiling at me as he placed his hand on the side of my face.
"Have fun, love. Stay out of trouble, I'll see you soon." He mumbled and I placed my hand over his before watching him slowly fall back out of consciousness. I sighed deeply as I placed a kiss to his forehead, making my way to Arthur who was stood staring at the photos on the wall of only my dad and I, none of mum, he'd taken them all down when she had died.
"Ready to go?" He asked me and I looked around, quickly looking to my feet as Achilles made his way over to me. I scooped the cat into my arms once again and Arthur gave a stern nod before we both took a handful of flow powder. "Oh, how could I forget, before we go through I'm guessing you've hear of Sirius Black?" He asked me and I looked back towards the living room where dad was fast asleep.
"I've heard dad mumble something about him over the years and more so recently since he got out of prison, I never questioned it much, I just know he killed Harry's parents." Arthur looked at me as if he wanted to tell me something but instead he just patted my shoulder.
"He may be looking for Hary, so be safe, don't stray to far." Arthur instructed me and I would do my best not to, being friends with Harry meant adventures into places you don't want to go, like the secret tunnels under the school where an ancient serpent lives. I thought back to last year as I dropped the floor powder, reaping the Leaky Cauldron again. I gripped Achilles tightly as I felt myself being pulled into the flames, warping in time before landing in the pub.
"Phoenix, bloody hell! We thought you'd come through the door!" Ron exclaimed and I laughed, letting Achilles down who hissed at me in annoyance, hating the floo network just s much as the next person. Ron tackled me in a hug and I hugged him back tightly.
"It's so nice to see you guys, I'm sorry I didn't visit during the summer." I looked at Harry, Ron and Hermione. I wouldn't have been able to see Harry anyways, the Dursley's were ruthless with him.
