When a Qrow lands near a Rose

Our first mission

After the announcement in the auditorium we had to go to the cliff to form our teams. We were assigned our launch pads that would launch us. I got a launch pad right next to my sister and I got one next to Summer Rose.

"Oh! Hi Qrow! I told you we would see each  other again soon," Summer said with a smile on her face.

"Yeah, I guess you told me."

I couldn't help but smile. For some reason every time I see her I just want to smile. I also find this starting to creeping myself out because I just met her today.

"Hey do you wanna race to see who can get farther with the landing strategy," Summer asked me.

"Your on," I replied.

I get into my stance for the landing strategy and she does too. Professor Ozpin starts to count down. Once he said one we all launched of  the launch pads. I kept my eyes on Summer so I would know where she lands. She came up right next to me. She looked over at me and smiled. I just chuckled to myself. We both started landing and she was just ahead of me though. I wanted to beat her so I jumped on a tree and pushed of landing on the ground farther than if I had just landed o my own. I looked up to see her about to land but she used her gun to shoot herself farther. Summer did this at least three times and then finally landed.

I decided to run in the woods and find her. I spotted her leaning casually against a tree.

"I won," Summer said in a cute kid voice.

"Huh I guess you did."

"Oh, you also found me so that means we are partners for the rest of our life."

"I can live with that. We better get going to find the Forest Temple. And the artifact ."

"Your right, lets go," she said and turned to start walking.

We walked in silence for a while. We then started to talk about our family's and life outside of Beacon. I don't know what it is about but I just love hearing her voice. We walked and talked for at least 10 minutes before we heard a rustling in the bushes. I pulled out my sword/sythe/gun. Summer just pulled out a sword.

"Do you think it was a Grimm," she asked me.

"Most likely. I mean, old Ozpin did say these woods were crawling with Grimm," I told her backing up behind her.

"If it is one I'll get this side you get the other."

"Fine by me."

As soon as I say that a Grimm comes out at full charge. It was a baowolf. I hit this one and killed it but then six more appeared from the bushes. Summer was taking care of two of them and killed one while I was taking care of three of them at one time. I hit one out of the way but it didn't die. It started running towards Summer with her back turned. She had no idea that it was coming for her.

"SUMMER WATCH OUT," I yelled at her, but she wouldn't have turned in time to be able to avoid an injury. So I ran and pushed her out the way.

She then used her semblance to turn them into a burst of white rose pedals. I was still holding her just in case there were any more.

"I think that's all of them," Summer said putting her hand on my arm. It all of a sudden started hurting so I winced.

She removed her hand and looked at it. It was covered in blood.

"OH MY GOD, QROW YOUR ARM IS BLEEDING!"

"Its nothing. I'll be fine."

"Qrow I know you might want to be selfless but let me look at it we don't want it getting worse or infected."

I didn't argue and I let her look at my arm. She rolled up my sleeve and looked closer.

"It just scratched you, thank god. But we should stop the bleeding," She said.

She then stood up. She tore the bottom of her dress to make a bandage.

"You didn't have to do that."

"No it's fine. I can fix it later we just need to press on," she said wrapping it around the wound."Ok it should be good lets get moving."

I nod and get up and we keep moving forward we soon find the temple and pick an artifact which just turned out to be chest pieces. We picked the white knight piece. We got back to Ozpin and the others with there pieces.

"Finally you to got here. You guys were the last pair," Raven said.

"Sorry Raven, we ran into a problem so it took us a while to get here," Summer said as if sounding guilty.

"Its ok Summer you helped me out so its and excused absence," I said walking up and putting my hand on her shoulder.

She looks up and smiles in my direction. I smiled back. All the teams walk back to Beacon. We all sat in the auditorium while teams were being assigned. Finally our names were called up to the stage.

"Qrow Branwen, Raven Branwen, Summer Rose, and Taiyang Xiao Long," Ozpin called out to the auditorium." You four form team STRQ. Lead by Summer Rose. Congratulations."

The whole auditorium applauded for us. I can't believe Summer is our leader. And not in a bad way as in I wouldn't have anyone else. Its going to be an exciting year.
