Your the girl I like

"What?" Summer asked me with confusion. She didn't even have a look of surprise, it was just straight confusion. That made me start to worry about what she was gonna do. Would she hate me, stop talking to me? I had no clue and that scared me. I can easily read people but right now I cant read her in any way. She's like a book in a different language.

"Yes Summer. You're the girl I like," I responded scared that she would run away, or start yelling, or have another mental break down. I felt myself starting to shake. I know how to hide it though, thanks to growing up in the tribe.

"You like me? Why?" Summer asked looking down at the ground.

"What?" I asked confused about what she was asking.

"Why do you like me? What do you see in me? Every girl in the school. You could literally have any girl in the school and you choose me. Why?" Summer was still looking at the ground.

I saw her tears fall to the ground. I walked over to her and pulled her into a hug. She was shocked, she hesitated, but then she eventually hugged me back. As I held her, she continued to cry but I think she was still waiting for an explanation.

"Summer, I like you cause your sweet and kind. Every time I feel scared or alone you're there for me. You make me feel safe and I want to do the same for you. I want you to be happy Summer," I started to tear up saying that. Which seems like a really girlish think for me to do.

"I'll always be there for you Qrow and you are always there for me. I like you to Qrow,"  Summer said.

We hugged each other tighter and then finally pulled apart from the embrace. Summer's  cheeks were a little pink from blushing. I could feel the heat coming from mine. Summer was still holding my hands. She looked around the clearing. She was looking like she had an idea forming in her head. She always looked cute with that expression when she figured something out. 

"Qrow, this should be our special place. Just me and you. A place where we can escape and be alone together," she said looking at the cherry blossom tree and smiling.

"You're right," I said looking down at Summer.

She looked back up at me. She just smiled at me. She then leaned into another hug. I hugged her back. The feeling of her warmth against me made me feel safe and made me feel like I was protecting her. This place that we share as a secret is our escape from all the chaos and scary things that happen in this world. I liked the sound of that. Our very own little hide out.

"We should start heading back," Summer said still in the hug.

"Ok," I said pulling away from her.

We started to walk back to our room.

Once we got back it was late so we got in our pajamas. When I walked out the bathroom from getting changed, I saw Summer looking over her homework. She looked up when she saw me come out of the bathroom. I walked over and sat on my bed. She walked over to me and stood right in front of me.

"I don't want this to sound weird but can I sleep in your bed with you tonight," Summers cheeks started to turn a light red. She wasn't making eye contact. She kept looking off to the side. From the blush on her face I could see she was getting nervous plus embarrassed about asking.

"Yeah. If you want. Tai and Raven don't get back until tomorrow at noon so we should be fine."

"Ok," Summer said sitting next to me.

I laid on the edge closes to the wall and then Summer laid next to me. We slowly started to fall asleep. Summer fell asleep before me but after she did I did. I couldn't believe that I finally told my crush I liked her and she was sleeping safe and soundly in my arms.

(A/N: hey guys sorry it's been awhile since I uploaded last but a lot has been going on. I've had to come home from my vacation in Texas. When I got home one of my family members ended up in the hospital so I've been watching my siblings. My baby sister was also born 3 weeks ago so I've been hanging out with her. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, school. So again sorry I haven't been able to upload my chapters I'll try harder to upload more frequently.
