When a Qrow lands near a Rose

The talk of going to a dance

(Authors note: ok guys I'm gonna be going to name the chapters either by number a name because I have my days were I can't think and then some I can. Also I'm using this writing for dreams now. So I hope You guys enjoy the story.)

Once class was over we were told by Professor Ozpin that there will be a dance this weekend and I wasn't planning on going. Raven as well. After he wrapped up the announcements we all headed up to our room. When we got there Tai just fell on his bed. Raven sat at the desk. Summer and I sat on our beds as well.

"So is anyone going to the dance?" Tai asked.

"I was going to go only if you guys went," Summer said as if she was embarrassed just by thinking of going.

"Wasn't planning too," Raven and I said in sink.

"Summer I just had a great idea," Tai said.

"What?"

"We should all go but as double dates."

"I guess we could," Summer said blushing.

"The only thing is that Qrow and Raven are siblings so they can't go together if its a double date. Which means I'd have to go with Raven and you'd have to go with Qrow."

He's not wrong. Besides I would probably go if Summer does. I looked over at Summer and she was blushing a lot. I don't know why but I felt my cheeks growing a little warm from noticing. 

Why was she blushing just from Tai saying that? Did she not want to go with me or was it something else? Could she possible be-.

My thoughts were interrupted by Summer.

"I-I guess we could do that. I-if that's ok with Raven and Q-Qrow,"Summer started to stutter and looked down at her hands in her lap and started to fidget with her hands. She wasn't making eye contact with anyone.

"I'm cool with it," Raven said.

"Me too," I said in response. In the corner of my eye I saw Summers whole face turn bright red.

"Ok then we should go shopping for our outfits tomorrow. But I think we should separate where the girls go get their dresses and we go get our suits and wait til the night of the dance to show what we are wearing," Tai said.

"Ok,"we all said in sink.

We all got ready for bed and I started to fall asleep. When I finally did I thought it was going to be a peaceful night.

I was walking through the woods when I came across the forest temple. I saw Summer sitting on the ground. I don't know what she was looking at but she was still looking at the ground facing away from me. I kept walking towards her. I stepped on a stick and it made a loud CRACK sound. She shout up and turned around looking startled. Once she realized it was me she smiled at me. She started to walk towards me. She stopped right in front of me. She sat there for a second and then she hugged me. I couldn't help but hug her back. I could smell her perfume. It was sweet. It smelled of vanilla and roses. Then all of a sudden she disappeared from my arms in a burst of white rose petals. I turned around to see a Ersa holding her on the ground. Again she was in a pool of blood. She was dead. I couldn't help myself I stared in horror and started to cry. I then fell into darkness.

I woke up with myself still crying I couldn't help it I tried to stop. Then I heard a noise right next to me. I look to see Summer sitting up. She looked over at me. She automatically got up from her bed and came over to kneel beside my bed.

"Qrow, your crying. Is everything ok," she said softly placing her hand on my cheek.

"It was just another nightmare," I managed to get out.

"Maybe it will make you feel better if you tell me about it," she said sitting on my bed next to me.

I managed to tell her about my nightmare. I couldn't help but cry a little more. She then pulled me into a hug. I smelled her perfume and I automatically felt safe. I hugged her back.

"Shh, Qrow its ok you don't have to be so worried about me. I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere. I promise," she whispered to me.

I don't know what came over me but I just asked this out of nowhere.

"Will you stay right here tonight?"

"Yeah I won't have to worry about the others because I get up before them anyway. I can lay here until I have to get up."

"Ok."

"If you want I can help you fall back asleep. I can sing to you. My mom used to sing to me when I had nightmares to help me go back to sleep,"she said.

"Ok."

She started to sing a song called "Song of the sea".

She was running her fingers through my hair. I was falling asleep, it was working. When she finished singing she smiled at me and turned over. I put my arm around her. I wanted to make sure nothing happened to her. She made me feel safe. With her in my arms. I pulled her closer to me. We both feel asleep. At least I fell asleep feeling safe and I fell asleep keeping her safe too. I promise myself I won't let anything happen to her.
