Shadow's p.o.v
Imagine waking up as a vampire having no clue how that happened not why you were turned in the first. My life as human was simple except I was a blacksmiths daughter so weapons was something I knew quite well. I always knew there would be people who wanted to steal my father's work for there own but that night some men came to our little House hoping to steal my father's weapons. I was the only one home at the time and being the eldest daughter I could let them steal from my father who worked so hard to make such beautiful swords. I fought hard but in the end they ran away but I lost my life barely hanging on when I saw a shadow near me before I took my last breath as a human. I use to talk to a man at night but I don't remember who he was or why I wanted to talk some stranger at night.
I was pronounced dead for two days and when I crawled out of my grave I realized who I was but I didn't want to hurt my family so I left to be alone. I traveled the world teaching others and saving countless others in the process but I never remembered who changed me into this creature . When I try to remember it becomes a haze in my mind like my memories are intentionally blocked for some reason. I don't have to drink blood as much as I got older now I'm two hundred years old so my thirst I could hold back for years of necessary but I wonder who my master is.
My main profession everywhere I traveled to hide my nature was always a teacher or teachers assistant or cook. I always been more fascinated with humans since I become an old vampire but now I'm traveling to Japan to help a teacher out with some high school students teach history. I wonder why I felt so compelled to put an application there and who I feel like something else is drawing me closer as if I am about to find out what I have been missing for decades. This feels exciting but also dangerous I wonder what Japan is like and if I will finally get the answers I have been seeking my own existence.
Shadow takes an airplane and Train to Tokyo , Japan to look for the school she applied to be an teachers aid with. As she got closer she felt familiar presences around her which confused her until she closed her eyes feeling there were other vampires in the area. She hadn't encountered other vampires very much in her travels but these vampire seemed like they were connected to her somehow.
