I know Sensei said to give Willow some space but I can't help it. I wait a few seconds after Cole and Willow leaving before sneaking in. Oh, Skylor.

She's not pale anymore but her skin is darkening and that dark spot over her chest is bigger than ever. I leave my weapon at the door then gently brush her cheek. Hard to imagine but a few minutes ago, she was smiling and snickering at my one-liners on our date.

It was perfect until the sky darkened and everything crashed in at once.

Mabey next time I should stick closer to her.

If there is a next time.

I sit on the edge of the bed, pulling up a blanket to cover her, "You're going to be ok. Willow's awesome at healing. You'll be back on your feet in no time." I start drawing little circles on the back of her hand.

I know what under those gloves now. Tiny little white scars. I know why too. But I can just tell there's still something between us. I don't know what but I want it gone. I watch as she shifts and moans, "Shh." I touch her face. Bitter cold. "I'm gonna heat this place up. Keep you nice and toasty"

I reach for my sword when the bed creeks behind me. "You're up. How do you feel?"

Nothing.

"Sky?" I turn around only having to jump out of the way of Skylor trying to jump me. She crash lands against a wall with a mirror on it. It crashes just in front of her face, "Whao."

She gets up slowly, her eyes grey and monstories looking red instead of their gentle green. She holds herself in pain while rubbing her head.

"You're ok." I hope. I hold my hands out, "Let's just get you back in bed. Willow will be back and I promise her magic-"

"NO!" Shylor starts shaking violently again while stumbling back into a wall, "Not safe. Not safe."

"Right," I carefully step towards her, "Ninjago isn't safe but we're gonna take care of it. Like we always do. But now I need you to calm down. I promise that you're gonna be all right."

She stares at her hand while licking her lips. She looks so hungry but she keeps whatever small amount of self-control she has. "No. No. Need help." She covers her left eye with her hand.

What the heck? Is her eye not feeling good? I breath out as I take another step closer, "And I'm going to help you. Whatever you need, I'll do it. Here," I light my hand up, "Misako said that whatever you are now thrives off of fire. Have some."

She shakes her head as she plasters her self to the wall, "No. Leave." She places her palms against the wall as she's starting to calm down, "Leave. City."

"Right." She was in pain when I got her out of new Ninjago city, "We had to leave the city. But everything is going to be fine." I make my fire bigger. Trying to draw her closer to me, "Just calm down and-"

"Help. Me." Her tone makes it sound like she's solved a problem. She covers her left eye again, pointing to it excitedly, "Help me."

"Right." My girlfriend has lost her mind. But I'm not letting her go yet, "You're gonna get help." I'm inches away from her now, "Let's just get you situated."

Her mouth drops open only for her to cover it. "Friend help me."

I thought we were more the friends. And how am I, Kai, master of fire, stuck in the friend zone after all the clear flirting we've done? Whatever, she needs help, "Trust me."

She shakes her head before vanishing before my eyes.

"Sky?" I touch the wall only to apparently light it on fire. Not the first time this happened. I quickly pat it out before frowning. She must have used the power of shadow to run away. But with how dangerous Ninjago is right now, she shouldn't be alone.
