{Location: An evacuation center at New Ninjago city}(Cole's POV)

"LOOK out!" I manage to catch a bolder before it crashes into a blonde woman with a cute puppy in her arms.

The puppy has blonde fur with a blackish-brown race car strip down her back. She's adorable...except that she looks like she's trying to rip my face off with her teeth.

The woman pulls the puppy's head down to her chest, "Sophia! Pipe down." She takes a few breaths as my muscles start to strain against the weight, "Thank you, Mister Ninja."

"No problem." PROBLEM! I'm about to drop a rock and Seliel still needs my help fending off the shade, "Get to safety ma'ma," like before I'm crushed like a tin can.

She nods and quickly runs behind the line of cops firing at the growing darkness. Which thanks to Seliel's creativity are split in half, one group is the fighter, the side that shoots to protect, the other halves escort the people to buses, cars, even planes.

SLAM!

Ow, I think I tweaked my back a little. I'll have to worry about it later. I run back to where Seliel is slowly being surrounded, jumping into spinjutzu last second. I push back at least a dozen of them while Seliel catches her breath.

Her smoke bombs are nearly gone and seem to be the only thing stopping the shade, "Thanks, mud face but I can take care of myself." She swipes at a particularly tall shade with her kama. Her armor is starting to come loose and now has several scratches, "But I do need to start learning that spinjuzu trick."

I lean up against her back, "It does come in handy." I raise rocks with my fist then punch forward, sending them into dozens of foes. "I think the real work is on its way."

She twirls her weapons, flinging black ooze off of them, "Glad that we're both warmed up."

"On your 3 O'Clock," I bend over, trying to pull a large chunk of earth, Seliel rolls over my back, slamming the heel of her boot over the shade's head. She holds steady as I roll over her's, throwing the rock at the shade.

She strikes behind her, "We've got incoming," she lightly touches the side of her helmet, "I count 6 coming for us and 12 heading to attack."

"So we get 18 lucky heads to knock," I punch my fist as my Fay magic lights up my hands. I kneel down and punch the earth at the same time, creating a large void like canyon in front of the cops, "You want half?"

Seliel reaches around for a throwing star, "How about whoever takes out more in this group buys cake for the two of us once we're done?"

I crack my knuckles as I grip my scythe, "You know I'd buy anyway, Pokie." And I get enough competition from Kai. I lower the blade part of my scythe, "I got an idea, step up."

"I'd i-Nevermind," Seliel steps onto the blade as I start spinning, "I see what you're doing."

"Just say when." I can hear the shade creeping up on us.

"When." Seliel jumps off my scythe, catching two shades by the neck.

It becomes like a dance between the two of us. I lava punch two shades then slam my scythe into the ground, getting a small earthquake out of it. Seliel jumps during this, still cutting up her own shade.

It just becomes a soothing rhythmic flow of back and forth between us.

She racks her kama under one of the shades' chins then sidekicks him over.

She's beautiful and impressive but we're quickly getting overwhelmed. Mabey I could last another minute or two but her odds are going down. I try scooping her up in a bridal hold but she worms her way out of this, "I think that's everyone."
