Epilogue: Destinations

{Location: The Bounty's medbay}(Lloyd's POV)

I patiently wait my turn to yell at Kai. After quickly explaining he and Skylor's adventure, he gets an earful from Uncle and Cole. Nya, Jay, Zane, and Pixal work on fixing the booster the Black Rose shot.

Good news is I'm feeling much better.

Bad news, Willow and I haven't talked about the truth the Black Rose told.

We've actually started avoiding each other.

I sit criss-cross on my bed as a guy in camouflage fixes up Ronin's ankle.

"Ok, I get it, I won't leave without getting a replacement. Sheesh," Kai rolls his eyes while winking to Skylor, "Anyone else wanna yell at me?"

Cole huffs as he leans on the foot of my bed, "I'm sure Willow's got a few words for you."

The room gets a little quite as eyes wander over to me.

Kai pulls he medal arm off as it starts shooting small flames, "I um...I heard all the Black Rose's videos. We should have said something sooner. I'm sorry, Lloyd."

I shrug, "I get it," I roll off the bed, heading to my/guy's room, "I just don't want to talk about it." I lie down on my bed, stare up at Morro's hammock. Mabey I should have gone with him for patrol. Too bad Seliel was up for it before me. I lean up, look at a photo strip of me and Rosie. I miss that. The days when she'd slowly fall for me and we were clueless about our fate. I sigh, a gentle knock hitting the door.

"Everything ok?" Cole smile as he comes in, sitting on his bed.

"Sure," I try to smile, I have to force myself to trust my brothers now. I don't like that. I should trust them without thinking about it. But that lie. And then there's the whole 'Willow avoiding me' thing. I lean up against Kai's bed, "Just wishing that Willow and I could talk about this. I don't like leaving things unresolved."

He nods, walking over, "I'm sure you'll work it out. Here," He holds out her locket. The one I won her at that street fair, "You can give this back to her as an icebreaker."

I take it, rubbing the smooth surface with my thumb, "I thought she didn't like to take this off."

"She may have done that when we got into a fight." He stretches his head, pulling his hair behind his pointy ears, "Things are going to work out."

"How do you know?"

"Big brother instances." He smirks, folding his arms, "It just hit me that I didn't give you or Morro the, be nice to my little sisters or else, talk yet."

I shake my head, "I-"

"Hey, where are they?" A young woman runs around in the hallway, looking in each door. She appears in mine. She's short, wearing a yellow uniform and has a brown eyepatch over her left eye. She smiles nervously, "There you are. So hi, my name is Sam. I'm Skylor's friend. And I may have just teleported Willow to her doom by accident."

"WHAT!" I spring up, "Where'd you send her?"

"To the Black Rose." Sam looks down, stepping out of the way of Cole and me.

Cole reaches the deck first, only seeing a sleeping Kit, "Willow, she's not going to last long. Can you teleport us there?"

Sam shakes her head, "I used a lot of magic. I'm empty. Sorry."

"Come on," I jump, soaring on my dragon to Domjago.

For some reason, there's an ice throne in front of the ice castle. I hop off, cupping my hands over my mouth, "ROSIE!"

Cole lands, "I'll go check the castle. Look at that cliff, she might be down there." Cole sprints into the ice castle. Calling out Willow's name.

I hurry to the cliffside, getting ready to airjuztu down when I spot Milo stomping on something. I fold my arms, energy sparking in my hands, "What's that Milo?"

Milo looks terrified, running away before flying, "I've got somewhere else to be and-"

I make a loud whistle as I spot Aquila flying over. Aquila reaches out with her talons, pinning Milo down. I stand over him, grabbing a fistful of his messy hair, making him look me in the eye, "What were you destroying?"

"OW! Let my hair go." Milo squirms under Aquila.

He was destroying some kind of teleporter. Aquila puts her weight on him, The plan. Ask him about the plan.

I hold my fist up, charging up my energy, "Where's Willow?"

"Gone." Milo cackles, "The Black Rose fulfilled her mission. Your girlfriend isn't even in this world anymore. She's probably meeting her father again."

I let him go. I should have seen it. I should have talked with Rosie, "Witch world?"

"Pfft," Milo shrugs, "I couldn't tell you if I wanted to. I just put numbers in that," he nods to the smashed up smartwatch, "And the best part is you can't go after her. She trapped there. With her father. With the Black Rose. And you can't do a thing about it."

Cole comes running back, "They left in a hurry, look." The golden weapons of eath and ice are in his hands, "I looked everywhere, no sign of her."

I take a breath, looking in my hand.

Where there's a will there's a way.

I pull Milo out from under Aquila's foot, "I'm more resourceful then you might think. You're coming with me. You're going to talk all about the realm Willow's stuck in."

"I won't tell you anything." Milo fights until he's in Aquila's mouth like a baby kitten.

I smirk as I get on Aquila's back, "I never said that you'd tell me. I have a new, interesting friend who is very strong."

Cole chuckles as he comes on with me, "Oh yeah. And you're gonna tell her everything."

"Yeah right. I'm trained to lie under duress. What could change that?"

Cole's hands glow grey, "How about me using my magic to separate the lier out of you?"

Milo sighs as Aquila takes off. He mutters curses as I clutch Willow's locket.

I'm coming, Rosie.

You're going to be safe.

I promise.
